Classic Rock (Phil Collins lives, run for the hills)

Yes a great album, and another band I have tickets for next year, though I think the other category of new enthusiastic young blood applies to BOC, similar to Kansas.
Has anyone mentioned Rob Mcauley/ MSG for 'M' yet ? He's very good on the Black Swan album.

Jeff Pilson on bass?

Another musical thread for me to join half way through. I’ve got a soft spot for Moon Martin, a pretty obscure and now deceased RnB (I think) merchant. He is better known for the covers of his songs, notably the two below.

Otherwise was a bit formulaic and had a daft haircut but did have a few gems in his catalogue

It would appear that the Man Band seem to have gone under the radar. After 50 years or so, the deaths of Deke Leonard and Micky Jones probably signal the end but well worth a listen.

There's a cover of an Allman's track (Dreams) on MH's debut and it kicks the original's butt. I was so disappointed when I heard / bought the Allman's version.

Skynyrd are the best Southern Rock band but I love all three.
Its a toss up!...I prefer the Allmans...mainly because they didn't come up with overblown 3 chord cabaret like ''Boogie No More''!!

Michael McDermot, early stuff sounds like early John Mellencamp/Bruce Springsteen
one of my favourite arists
Championed early on by Stephen King

later stuff is great IMHO check out 2016s Willow Springs
Also his band The Westies
