Kind of sense I may be somewhat in the minority here, but i think there's a lot worse refs than Clattenburg out there

Better get your tin hat and armour on. Don't you know that there are no decent refs out there? They've all taken a vow to screw City at any and every available opportunity, guided by the invisible puppetmasters at the FA or the Premier League or EUFA or the Media.

Prefer Clattenburg to Mason, Dowd, Marriner, Probert, Foy, Oliver or Jones

Think Anthony (I support Altrincham honest) Taylor is usually good but wouldn't want him anywhere near one of our games. Also think Pawson and particularly Madley look good, but don't think they have the necessary experience yet for such a big game.

If we do lose it'll probably be less down to the ref than our increasingly shaky defence, coupled with the fact that if choosing a combined Chelsea / City team from available players, only two of ours would get in the front 6 - Fabregas, Matic, Oscar, Silva, Hazard, Aguero - (now that's not a bad line up)

Just to put a different spin on things, this game is going to be hyped up to the very highest level, its likely to go some way to deciding the title (if we lose obviously), so he's going to have to be at his very best, most consistent, and least dodgy looking.

He'll have to look as fair as possible, because if he makes a decision that looks dodgy either way, he'll get hammered.

Pretty sure he's not overly popular at Stamford Bridge either.

Its up to the team to play well, and give him no reason to influence the result, so cutting out the stupid free kicks would be a good idea, and something Manuel should be getting into every starter for Saturday's game.

The thing that bugs me about him is we always end up on the wrong side of a big call from him he gave a pen at west brom for us but others before that stone wall ones just nothin . And at liverpool last season was a shocker as was at chelsea few seasons ago . Even our win against arsenal when he lie'd about adebayour not seein his foul so ended up a ban . Plus blackburn away with bellamy richards at ushited no pen we always end up on the wrong side of his big calls .

Well I think it indicates a 50/50 call. It might be the signal to the Far East betting syndicates that he's about to award a penalty.

Our best hope of a decision on Saturday is him forgetting that Lampard is no longer a Chelsea player.
