He gifted them the best lay back of the night. It's like watching a pre bung Bruce Grobelar.

It wasn't their best chance. It was a miscommunication with Otamendi that ended up in nothing.

End of, absolutely no reason for this thread to be active after a 0-0.

I have had an epiphany...the city fanbase is one that would rather listen to the 'wisdom' of a mediocre carpet salesman, than be open to learn from someone who has actually excelled in this field. This thread sums it up entirely.

100% agree. But he is a scapegoat and once you are as a player our so called "great fans" will find ways to keep him a scapegoat.

He didn't have a lot to do tonight and what he did do was gift a nigh on gilt edged chance instead of palming it away.
Now is this the player performance thread or not?

And made up for it by pulling off a fantastic stop so it should be let slide.

Miscommunication is one thing, if he thinks he can't leave it then come out and deal with it; he didn't. Otamendi didn't make him pass it to Mkhitaryan...

As for a 0-0 always absolving a 'keeper from discussion.. no? Depends what goes on in the game, context. People have only highlighted one of the things he did have to do tonight.

Plus he went off on a stretcher, so people will want updates of his situation.

Looked like a calf injury, which may be a repeat of what he had at Barcelona last season. Thought he looked assured tonight and hope he comes back soon.

And the reason he had to make the stop was to cover for his inability to parry the ball away. Personally I hope he's rested from here on in, injury or no injury.

It's not the fanbase, just the kind of people who see a 0-0 draw where United have had 1 shot on target, and feel the need to run to the performance thread of our keeper to bitch.
Its true - to tar the entire fanbase with the same brush is both unfair and inaccurate. Just I am finding a lot of commentary on here is beginning to make the likes of Paul Merson and Phil Thompson look interesting and articulate. Be sad, in my eyes, if Bluemoon became as 'relevant' as a Sky Sports Saturday but honestly if you want to find informed conversation about Bravo, would you look for it on this thread - or do you turn up here expecting the same drivel in rehashed form...time and time again? I mean, someone actually thinks its big and clever to call Bravo 'juliet'....

Blessing in disguise for him. Hopefully he can get his head down now and concentrate on getting fit and focused for next season.

what a pathetic thing to say. please post about the player rather than a fellow poster.

oh sorry you can't can you.

Youre probably right,he'll be out of the limelight and away from criticism.A good pre-season with a stable defence could hopefully see the return of a capable goalkeeper,as opposed to the confidence sapped one we have witnessed so far.
