Some around us were ironically cheering, not booing. I didn't hear any boos for the player to be honest.

Not great behaviour but they've paid their money to give themselves a right to air their obvious frustration. I'm sure the player is big and tough enough to understand why that frustration is there.

As said by someone in the other thread, it's best for all concerned that he leaves in the summer. He isn't going to get any better in my opinion and the anamosity from some fans will only grow.

One could argue though that his benefits outweighed his deficits today. It's not that black and white (better keeper at saving = the better we perform) as some posters would suggest with our GKs.

Shock horror the opposition are going to get shots on goal,thats what the keeper is for,most shots at him are a goal,that was lame tonite
On the plus side he does have good distribution but that doesn't make up for not saving shots

For all his passing out from the back and the chances he starts. He's letting in too many goals and is a liability

Passing out of the back is not just about starting chances. When a team is under the kind of press they put on us the first 30 minutes last night, a keeper like Bravo will save goals with his distribution. We saw Willy literally create a goal for Monaco because he is neither good with his feet nor does he read the game in front of him as well as Bravo. The average football fan won't understand this obviously...

Maybe I'm doing a disservice to his professionalism and character but I fully expect him to have a couple of negative things to say about us once he leaves or hangs up his boots.

Like I said, he might not but I'd fully understand if he did. A huge portion (or at least, a very gobby portion) of our fanbase has been laying into him since day one, offered zero support and have sat in the stands dying for him to make a mistake.

The sarcastic cheers for his save and when he caught a cross were absolutely pathetic. If the cheers happened once or twice, then you could put it down to a bit of banter but, when it happens game after game, it comes across as petty in the extreme. Not only does it make us look disloyal and small time, but any potential future acquisitions could easily be watching that and thinking "what a bunch of ****s". And, although the idea of someone saying that about my club might put me on the defensive, I wouldn't be able disagree.

Do me a favour fans are the same the world over, Ronaldo gets proper grief at times from the fans at Real despite consistently being one of the best players in the world. If any player chooses not to come because some fans choose to ironically cheer a save from a keeper who has been almost exclusively cack since he joined us then they'd be mental but it wouldn't happen because it's utter bollocks. Some fans never gave him a chance when he arrived which is disappointing but I think the majority of supporters are being pretty patient with him considering. As for Bravo having negative things to say about the club, he'll look ridiculous if he does. The whole world knows he has been playing incredibly poorly, if he chooses to cry about getting a bit of what is essentially low level grief then he will just look a massive fanny. He'd look much better if he just clears off with the millions he has barely earned and keeps his counsel.

Are we fuck as like a special fan base in that sense. We fucking tormented Edgehill at times and he was a blue like us.

Every club has some fans who do it, so do ours.
