Claudio Bravo - 2016/2017 performances (continued)

I thought the City fans who jeered Bravo every time he pulled off a save last night were a disgrace. The BBC latched on to it and used it to beat us up again. Claudio has obviously been demoted to number 2 and is trying to play his way back to form. If you cannot encourage your own team give up, stay at home and watch the Tele.
Totally agreed. Was in block 102 where a lot of the jeers were happening. One particular woman spent nearly the whole game calling bravo all sorts of names and shit.she wasn't even funny and I suspect that,s all she was trying to be

I am not his biggest fan and nd would rather we had kept Joe. But booing / jeering our own fucking players when they are playing good stuff is a new low.

Jeez can't anything be done about these knobs

Every club has it's boo boys,we have not been too renowned for it too much in the past,Summerbee (Nicky) an exception, but Bravo has brought it all on himself, unfortunately for him that is.

I don't condone the ironic cheering,it's sad,but think about this thought for a short while,we've always been great at taking the piss out of ourselves, deep down everyone wants him to do well, surely everyone thinks that, but he's left a lot to be desired to say the least

I will never 'warm' to Bravo. Faced 19 direct shots and let in 11 goals. Stat from Danny Murphy last night. IMO Pep got that one wrong...

Will it never stop?
A statistic does only count numbers without any respect to quality. Quality of those shots on goal for example.
People who use those stats try to imply he could have saved all of them easily. But that's bollocks.

If we want to judge a performance in a fair way we need to make a qualified difference of what is a mistake and what is not.
Stats are only good for quantity, not for quality.
Don't get trapped again and again.

I agree with this wholeheartedly but the treatment he's getting is tame compared to the treatment dished out to, say, Kit Symons. I know our circumstances are completely different but we've always had our boo boys. It's not a nice trait and not one that will disappear.

The shit that Richard Edghill got was much worse. A Manchester lad one of our own and he got some shit.

I'm guessing that the 'fans' in question were not happy-clappers, plastics or tourists. They will be fans who never actually support the team with vocal encouragement. And they probably have been going for years and should know better. If anyone is reading this and were involved you should be ashamed of yourself.

Last night was nothing compared to the stick Edghill got when we lost 2-1 at home to Coventry. That was proper anger. Last night doesn't help Bravo but it was light hearted,we all know he's not up to the standard we need. The fact is he shouldn't be starting any games for us anymore,it was a monumental fk up by Pep bringing him in. I don't think Hart was good enough either but we majorly downgraded with this guy.
You make a lot of assumptions on behalf of a lot of people there, but lighthearted...... no, there was real hatred from some where I was.... the rest joined it was banter and a laff, I had to think twice to stop myself joining in, but there were people there who really fkin hate him and made it vocal. And am not sure Pep would agree it is just lighthearted, ie, we are winning, playing some good stuff,,and for a vocal proportion of the fans all there is cynicism and negativiy. Nah it has the stop

I think we can all agree he should have stopped the goal. However, no need to boo him. He's has been poor since he signed but there is no excuse to get on his back.

He was instrumental in our 4th goal, cheeky chip to Garcia. I think we had a few passes before he received it and it must have been 30 passes maybe more by the time Aguero scored. Shame it wasn't highlighted as it was a great passing move started from the back.

I did find myself half sarcastictly applaud when Bravo made that save first half, but have to say i would never boo a player playing for City i just could not do it, and anyone sat near me doing is told to fuck off, we have over the years had good grounds to boo a player but i just cant lower myself to do it.
I honestly want Bravo to make it here and be the keeper Pep wants.

BBC give us time and credit, behave.

Not sure whether or not it is his typical expression but he looked 'shot' and scared last night. It's sad to see one of our players look like they are lacking in confidence.

As for the ironic cheers, they are clearly not helpful. I personally wouldn't take the mick of one of our players in front of them but those who pay to go to the match have a right to react that way.
