Would Pellegrini have got away with it? Shifting out a perfectly capable keeper who the players trust and who is in his prime, to be replaced by someone who can kick a ball better but is like a bowl of jelly when it comes to actual goal keeping? I doubt it. The same way he wouldn't have got away with selling Aguero and replacing him with Shane Long. Pep would have though, with some it seems.
Losing Hart and bringing in Bravo is a backwards step in your next phase for the club and squad line. Most can see it, yet the manager still defends him. The simple fact here is that he is wrong on this and there is no valid argument against that. This isn't La Liga and this supposed goal keeper we've been shafted with is not up to it in our league.

He set himself to go left as that's where the shot was headed before the deflection, the still you posted earlier illustrates this, his left shoulder has dropped and his right leg is stretched as he goes to spring off that foot, the deflection brings the ball in towards him and he didn't react quick enough.

No matter what Pep says the primary role of a goalkeeper is to stop the ball going into the net. Bravo's shot stopping ability is woeful

He's made so many errors and has rightly come in for a lot of stick, particularly as he's replaced England's no1 and the media are loving bashing him due to that as much as anything. He needs the fans to support him if he's to ever show his true level. I don't believe he's as poor as he's shown, and I wouldn't boo him as that's just not what I do. I wouldn't want him to start until he's showing consistent form when he does get a chance though. It's just not worth dropping Caballero yet. We might create chances due to the passing style but we are starting with a -1 handicap with Bravo in the side at the moment. The goal he conceded is probably fair enough, but due to the fact he's made mistakes previously you can't help but scrutinise.

I dont think there is any defense that can be made of him since he arrived that can now stand up, Pep picks him and theres not a lot anyone can do to change that, but it shows how bad he is when Wille getting picked is cause for celabration ( Bless him for effort, but he aint top class)

The same could of been said about Willy last season. Pellegrini stuck to his guns on that one, there weren't many who backed his judgement leading up to the League Cup final. Bravo didn't hide after his mistake on Wednesday night and was assured enough to carry out Pep's instructions.

I Feel sorry for him. I know, I know, he's getting paid a shitload but I'm sure he's upset at how it's gone for him so far. I like Hart and was sorry to see him moved out but I've seen in Bravo the reason why Hart is no longer here and I'm not sure Hart will ever be that comfortable with the ball.
I would love Bravo to change things around as I don't really care who is in goal for City as long as they can do the job. Currently Bravo can only do 50% of it. Is it confidence or is he really just not a very good shot stopper? Have his reactions always been this bad? Is it age? Who knows but I dont think he'll be #1 next season.

I think you are over analysing this but I really applaud your being resolute with this I really do. If you can infer all those things from a screen capture I am certain there's nothing to sway you otherwise.

You have to be wary of not being hostage to confirmation bias though. These things can hide the forest for the trees.

You dont get to play for the teams he has by being a poor shot stopper and having poor reactions. Going through a bad patch, but he has it in his locker
