As long as Kolo is nowhere near the pitch then I'm not too arsed what formation we go with in Madrid.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Bob went with 3 at the back although I'd expect the fullbacks to sit quite deep so in effect a 5 at the back, then have the 3 big guys in front.

I think you're right he'll go three at the back, although I'd prefer not to.

I also agree that it's imperative Kolo is nowhere near the team, and the same goes for Kolorov too. What I also think is essential for this game is no not play Ya Ya in the holding role, and particularly if both Silva and NAsri are on the pitch. If he goes with this (like Liverpool) then we'll find MAdrid cut us up at pace on the break. Yaya can't tackle well enough to hold in this game. He'll step forward and we'll end up with Ronaldo running in space at an isolated Rodwell and a furiously backpedalling Lescott.

This is no game for Nasri and it's no game for the 4-2-2-2. It's a game for a three man midfield with two defenders behind Yaya. Let Silva cause them problems. My team:

I think you're right he'll go three at the back, although I'd prefer not to.

I just can't see Sergio starting though, otherwise I'd obviously incorporate him into my selection.

I assume we'll def only start with one forward, in which case it's more likely to be a 5-4-1 rather than a 4-5-1, imo.

He could go with your formation and play Jimmy in place of Aguero, I suppose.

You've lost me there mate, is the team you've posted the one you'd expect for Stoke? Not that I agree with Mancio but I assume he's thinking that will be the team for Madrid.

which is what Billy suggested is a team with a very soft centre. The two wide men give you no steel, and neither does Yaya. That team would worry me. Nasri should not be featured in this game.
