Clive the rag Tyldesley

Remember a newspaper article a few years back where a lot of the commentators and journo's stated their allegiances, and Tyldesley said he was a rag. This was pre "night of all nights" and I thought surprising because he did my favourite all-time City match commentary. The 5-1 derby in '89, Hinchcliffe at the far post and all that.

I was shocked when I found out he was a RAG. I also loved the 5-1 commentary , I still know the commentary to all the goals off the top of my head. Once I heard he was a RAG I did notice he got a big excited about Hughes goal , bearing in mind it was just a consolation he was building it up big time.

At least he gets to go to Old Trafford occasionally, though, which puts him a notch above most life-long United supporters ... the lifelong ambition of most of them seems to be that one day they'll get to be photographed outside Lou Macari's Fish Shop on a mobile phone, on a cold and wet Tuesday morning.

Whilst we are on the paranoid theme. I flicked through the Match magazine and United seemed to be pictured on every other page. Okay, they've got semi-final history, but as it was City's match, wouldn't it have been better to plaster it with pictures of Yaya's semi-final winner?

Didn't feel like only a consolation at the time - it made it 3-1 and I reckon most blues shit themselves a tiny bit
