I initially felt the same and was shocked when I saw it but then thought logically about it in the sense of its pretty similar to the previous badge which is what everyone has wanted since we got the current badge (personally I don't mind the current one) yes its not to everyone's liking but I found the more I've looked at it the more I like it although I feel it will take a little getting used to the change.

It is definitely not a red herring and as I've already said it is 100% genuine, its up to you what you believe but when the picture emerged this afternoon I sent it to someone who was amazed I had the picture of it but wasn't officially able to confirm for contractual reasons ;-)..........

Put the feelers out to gauge opinion 2 days before it's due to be released with absolutely zero time to edit it and submit it to the relevant places? It's the real badge best just accepting it and moving on.

This is also registered on the Ipo site as well as the rose badge of the 70's now this version I like its the colour version that looks like a comic

That has been lifted from a government official site, not "leaked", and City have paid for that.

What do you mean? Haven't you seen his brilliant detective work of looking at two pictures? Scotland Yard are probably blowing up his phone as we speak.
