This quoted from rag cafe annoys me a bit now though:

Saw a spuds fan say it on twitter as well. It might have meaningless symbolism but they're right. I think all of us like our retro badge more though which is why it sells so well. It feels really City and is a cooler badge even if it doesn't look as striking. We do retro well.

This is the debate though, define: formed. Did we just change our name to Manchester City or we're we distinctly formed separately from the Ardwick, Gorton line?

Would be good if @Gary_James could give us his opinion? What's his handle on here?
