Club Brugge (A) - CL - Post-Match Thread

I have to say that young Cole Palmer reminds me of a young Steve McManaman…without the pointing of course (for now)…

That was football from another planet! All we're missing is a world class striker, who can play from deep to complete a team that is a Messi & a striker short of Pep's greatest Barca side, & this isn't a throwaway comment.

Cole Palmer = Foden 2.0. The future looks bright. The future is Sky Blue... :-)

Four dimensional football.

The cook Pep's time dependent concoction will have many academy lads playing at this level in the near future. Phil Foden as exhibit A your honours; probably Delap would already be there, but for his unfortunate injure. Cole Palmer is almost there.

Who needs a 30 goals a season striker? Pep's fluid football produces goal scores back, forward, left, centre and right. Joao Cancelo and Kyle Waker, exhibits B & C, your honours. There's a team interdependence, way ahead of the outdated typical english "hoof it to the blonde lanky lad", though we have Ederson to use that route IF needed.

Only negative note is, not on the pitch but lots of bed wetters and wet fannies and soiled arse wipes slagging off RAHEEM STERLING. He was very good tonight, he's coming back to form, same as KdB. Pep knows better than the blueamoaning wankers that took on hating OUR Raz.

Now onto seagulls shooting.
Agree with everything apart from needing a striker. We're good. Very very good. But it's when we're playing the best & the games are tight that our need for a world class striker becomes blindingly obvious. )(

Notice that for all the slagging off of Sterling ,very few mentioned KDB poor performance.
Your not allowed to.

People on here need to grow a pair and take off the blue tinted glasses.

KDB is a mile off his incredible level and if you can't see that your in denial.

Grealish is another, started his career with us very well but has slipped in recent weeks, he needs to up his game or he will be seeing a lot of the bench, especially with the emergence of Palmer.

Just heard about the fan being beaten nearly to death, left in a coma.

That is truly awful.

I thought this stuff was left back in the 80s.

Come on Blue pull through !!!!!!

Results in their first two CL games (and their last 2 last season) suggest that Brugge are a good team. Now that City beat them 5-1 the question is "just how food are Bruges?" Some suggest that we "only" beat Brugge and that it wasn't really a test for City. All I can say is that we made Brugge look no worse than we made Chelsea look at Stamford Bridge a few weeks ago or any worse than we made Liverpool look for half an hour at Anfield. There was general agreement that City could/should have beaten Chelsea by 3 or 4 and could/should have been 2 or 3 ahead at Anfield at half time. Last night we turned our domination into goals. Or was it "only" Chelsea and Liverpool we played before the international break?
