In previous seasons under Pep, he has had to manage a title challenge at the same time as the latter stages of the UCL. If we win tonight, which isn't guaranteed, but I think we will, then Pep can have a proper crack at winning in Munich. We wouldn't be favourites but lesser sides have knocked us out

Lots of Brugge ultras in town
Noisy bunch
Noisy is fine (even good, for those like me that like that sort of thing ahead of big matches), I just hope they behave themselves and don’t go the way of the Rangers’ bellends.

Full support please, all you wonderful Blues!!
Expect to be 1 down at HT...
Push our lads to win, they are still quite shaky
and need full support so much.
Win it in the 2nd half.
(Tbh, I just love comeback wins...)

COME ON BLUES !!!
Have a cracking match everyone.

Just like most of our title wins have provided iconic moments in premier league history, we also have managed to make the new champions league format interesting as well. It's a dramatic finale to the league stage and it's solely because of us, and this time it's because how surprisingly shit we've been.

City: making football interesting since day one.

I can't understand the negativity from those who claim they would be happy to see City get knocked out tonight. What the hell is wrong with you? Progress tonight, and the clock is completely reset on this tournament going forward. The pathway to the final stages will be open, and the fragility of the league stage will be a footnote in the history books.

City did not become a bad team this season. They became one with a pile-up of lengthy injuries affecting defensive positions in particular. And that meant that those players who were available were run into the ground, with little opportunity to rotate them. Does anyone here genuinely believe that the plan was to play an ageing Ilkay Gundogan to anything like the extent he has been required to? Was it the plan to give Bernardo so little time to recover?

Get through tonight and everything changes. Some of the injured players are finally back in contention. And we have four eager new recruits desperate to make an impression with City in the UCL (Khusanov, Reis, Marmoush & Echeverri) ... they can all be registered for the UCL squad from the next round onwards. We may even add another signing yet before the transfer window closes. Their availability will give breathing room for our "fit" players to recover from exhaustion. Then we will see the likes of Bernardo back to their best. With that combination, City have as good a chance as any in this competition. Why not?

Those pronouncing that City won't be able to compete with the likes of Real Madrid this year need to look at their record in the league stage. Several of the big name teams have struggled, probably not helped by the Euros / Copa America having kept key players active through most of the Summer - just like City.

If City win tonight, NO CLUB will want to be drawn against them down the line. If we don't value progress in the UCL from here, what's the point? Why strive to finish top 5 to qualify for next season if that's the way you feel?

Let's get this won tonight and put the last few weeks behind us. A fit and firing City can still win this trophy. I'm backing them 100%. Are you?

We’ll still have the 2 legged play off before we’re through to the next stage

I haven’t been a huge fan if the Chimps League. But no way I want City to go out tonight. And with the new signings we soon have a big enough squad to keep going in this and other competitions.

We get a comfortable see from there.

Yeah it's that in between Arsenal and Liverpool games I want nothing to do with. If winning got us through automatically it would be different. The last thing this squad needs currently is 4 high intensity games in a row after the transfer window shuts.

If they’re anything like the Belgian cycling fans, no surprise to read their supporters are lively in town. Always the best atmosphere on the big climbs to be found where they are.

I've declined an invitation to a free meal tonight so I can watch City.
I've also had grief off my bosses for doing so.
So I want City to win so I can go in the office tomorrow with a smug look on my face.

All those people saying they are not arsed about the CL, wow one of my highlights of watching city is lifting the trophy in Istanbul and I want to see us do it again!
I’m reading their comments and thinking are they just kidding themselves on it doesn’t matter? Surely they realise that continued Champions League involvement makes it easier to sign new players / improve the squad! Aye they covering their arses incase it goes pear shaped tonight so they can say they weren’t fussed in the first place.

I don't want to see us go out. If for no other reason than to not have to hear the hell we will catch from idiots on social media. I think there is an opportunity here for us to continue to build back. We win, we get to keep playing which will allow our new guys to be able to play in the knockout round. This will help with our depth.

Ederson
Lewis Stones Akanji Gvardiol
Kovacic
Foden Silva Grealish
DeBruyne
Haaland

Let's get it done.

call me cynical, but if they're annoyed at you turning down a 'free' meal then it probably isn't 'free'

Just asked AI who will win [emoji57]
Conclusion

Taking into account Manchester City’s superior form at home, their attacking prowess, historical dominance over Club Brugge, and the stakes involved for both teams, it is reasonable to conclude that Manchester City will likely win this game tonight against Club Brugge.
