Aye, good old Olivers. First club I ever went in about 1988. Thursday night £1 to get in with 2 strippers on.

When we beat Utd 5-1 in '89, we got rounded up into the Utd police escort. We were spotted by the head bouncer of Olivers, but fair play to him, he didn't let on we were blues.

Did you ever do the top road?

Dukes another place for a fight, when it kicked off it was like the whole pub. Also on Sunday afternoons was strippers.

Trying to remember the bouncers names, there was two brothers on the door. They both got done for poaching in a river near Chester i think, can`t remember if they used poison or explosives to kill the fish.

I was a bit young for the Dukes in its mad era. Though the older lads I knocked about with used to go in there.

The top road was mental. I was lucky that I went to school in Salford, so no-one in Swinton really knew me. Some of my mates were in battles every week. People carried grudges on from school, pilks, agecroft colls, sunday football. All very insular.

Friday night in the Butchers was like the wild west.

went in carridges a few times, what about the Concorde Tuesday night, ever go in there, still in school at the time,

Anyone remember "Carriages" in Droylsden?

Brought back some memories with that place, walking back home along the railway tracks after chucking out time.A mate of mine Mez getting into the shower before the wet t-shirt competition and turning it on himself.
A mates bird dancing with a glass of red wine in her hand and spraying it over an aisan bloke in a white suit(very miami vice),who then went to twat her,bad move. Seeing the lad bringing our round back from the bar launched over the balcony onto the dance floor.
The Old Barn in Ashton,my wife's Australian and couldn't believe it when she saw a bird having a piss in the sink,in the ladies.
A mate of mine got off with his sister in law in there,it was that type of place.
