Couldn't get a stream to watch but good to hear of a youngster breaking through.
He’s very versatile. Has played as an attacking midfielder, false 9 and right winger for the academy. Great on the ball and scores loads of goals. He’s like a mix of Havertz and Nasri IMOWhat position is he?? Pardon my ignorance I have never heard of him.
I'd not really heard much about him when he started for the u18s if im being totally honest, but I was ridiculously impressed with him almost immediately when I frst saw him. His development has been immense and you can see why Pep rates him.
Best thing is he only showed half of his repertoire tonight too, which is what excites me. He's a genuinely excellent dribbler too and a phenomenal goalscorer as well. He scored 15 goals in 14 games last season, while captaining the u18s too. Tonight he kept it largely simple, but really grew into the game, which is exactly what you want to see. That little shoulder drop near the keeper was absolutely sumptuous. Lovely stuff.
We should 100% keep him around the first team. He's technically excellent, hard-working, creative and a local lad. What's not to love? Good height too which is useful. Should fill out in time and become a really sturdy player. I can't wait for him to feel comfortable enough to use his dribbling too. He glides people when he's in that mood. Absolutely delighted he got a start surrounded by first team players tonight. He deserved it.
