Cole Palmer

Great talent. Intelligence, technique and good engine in one. Wiil save us a lot of money.

What position is he?? Pardon my ignorance I have never heard of him.

Settled in well and is very easy on the eye. Lovely feet and unlucky not to get a goal or assist.

He's got a tall frame so it'll be interesting to see how he develops physically.

Definitely another exciting prospect and it'll be great to have another young blue knocking on the door.

Definitely put himself in the mix for a few more games this season.

Really composed on the ball and quite physical for his age.

I'd not really heard much about him when he started for the u18s if im being totally honest, but I was ridiculously impressed with him almost immediately when I frst saw him. His development has been immense and you can see why Pep rates him.

Best thing is he only showed half of his repertoire tonight too, which is what excites me. He's a genuinely excellent dribbler too and a phenomenal goalscorer as well. He scored 15 goals in 14 games last season, while captaining the u18s too. Tonight he kept it largely simple, but really grew into the game, which is exactly what you want to see. That little shoulder drop near the keeper was absolutely sumptuous. Lovely stuff.

We should 100% keep him around the first team. He's technically excellent, hard-working, creative and a local lad. What's not to love? Good height too which is useful. Should fill out in time and become a really sturdy player. I can't wait for him to feel comfortable enough to use his dribbling too. He glides people when he's in that mood. Absolutely delighted he got a start surrounded by first team players tonight. He deserved it.

I have only seen him on tinternet etc & tbf he's managed to not score easy situations quite a lot on several occasions I've seen him, but his skill level has always looked very very impressive indeed.

Tonight what impressed me was him getting stuck in & covering ground.

The skill is obvious but he's showing the other side of the game against a tough side, which is very impressive.

Let's try another kid not from Barcelona & see how he does.
