Cole Palmer

The game has gone daft.
It went daft a long time ago.
It's gone even dafter.

£30m for a lad being nurtured along the same lines as Foden, but is still no more than a prospect.

City would be mad to turn any such deal down, particularly if it includes a buy back clause.

McAtee probably next to go.

1 season at any premier club his fee will double! It's why we put sell ons in contracts look at Lavia now 50m player sold for 14m

"Pretty good"

I would say @ucking amazing, I am amazed none of the big clubs have raided their scouts, including us.
There is not a single player that Brighton have signed that we wouldn't have had a 100 page report on.

The likes of Caicedo etc were close to the rags before they just bottled it for some reason so he was hardly some unknown that Brighton found.

What has made Brighton unique in the past several seasons is they have had very good coaches and an infrastructure that allows the likes of Caicedo and Mitoma to perform.

We wouldn’t be mad. We’ve potentially got one of the best young players in the country who in my opinion we should be keeping

I'll put my head above the parapet and say, I think Cole has the potential to be top class. I perceive his only problem , other than experience, to be confidence in his decision making.

I think the euros sorted that out for him, I'd only loan of were bringing someone of proven quality in, in a wide position. Otherwise keep and let him kick on. Thirty appearances and ten goals is something he is well capable of for us this season.

Still, City know best.

I agree with you that Cole has a great future ahead of him., I just don’t see him getting sufficient game time at City to keep him happy.

Knowing that clubs want to sign him, regular football, and the prospect of doubling, tripling (or more) his wages, must be very tempting.

£30m dangling in front of City...? We'll be tempted.

If he can be the Mahrez replacement he will get plenty of game time. The club & pep need to give him some patience and let him develop - but it doesn’t seem to happen with any of our young players that much
