Cole Palmer

Best player in the world.

it’s like selling Messi -:)

All jokes aside, he is a good player and we all would rather he was still involved at city but he chose a different path. Ultimately, it was his decision and we got the best fee possible at the time of his development.

Can’t keep them all and we won’t get every decision right. Accept it and move on.

All solid points, however my concern is that the decision to let him go is going to look progressively worse over time. He's only 22 and already looks world-class.

We couldn't demand more at the time, should've been sent on loan instead.
Cole Palmer isn't the sort of character you " send" anywhere.
A strong minded individual backed by a very supportive father...he's no 18 year old blinded by the lights. A very headstrong confident player who has given his career a real shot in the arm...a definite for the euros now ...imo.

Might and it might not, but we've moved on. It was right at the time and good for everyone.

Another brilliant goal by Palmer . I'm puzzled by some fans pointing out his l"ack of defensive work " or as @Sebastian blue points out,his " lack of technical ability "
Bizarre comments about a young player enjoying his 1st full season in the premier league.. ..astonishing that any fan could be so negative in the circumstance..... Great attacking player ,playing for a manager who ...maybe ..does not ask him to track back, lol...,maybe in the same way Ruben dias is not asked to lead the line for us or be our main playmaker?
Sadly it looks like losing Palmer will cost us. He looks fantastic at present and would have been a key player for us this season. He is not as quick but appears to be a much better player than Doku. He could well be the star of the Euros assuming that idiot Southgate picks him ahead of Saka.

Saka is golden boy by the looks of things . ..

Saka is a decent player but I think Palmer has something extra. Perhaps he is more arrogant (in a good way) but I think Palmer can be a game-changer. City don't get many decisions wrong with player recruitment/sales but this one looks like it will bite us. I believe Chelsea will be strong contenders to win trophies next season, possible even the title.

Yeah, because we’ve had a shit season without Cole, haven’t we?

Give Doku a chance; he’s a young lad (admittedly, only three weeks younger than Palmer) in his first season in a new country, and speaking a second or third language, trying to learn what is probably the most complex system in world football.

I think Jérémy has had a great season with us. He causes panic is opposition defences, and in case you missed it, he won the penalty that made the game against Tottenham safe.

I’m sick to death of posters moaning and criticising players in their first season with us. It happens far too frequently. Rodri, Mahrez, Grealish, etc.

Will people never learn?
