Come on Ivory Coast.

no but Rivaldo 2002 has no relevance whatsoever to that farce, 8 years difference, completely different players, how you can compare them is beyond me.

Karma works in starnge ways, 2002 ball kicked at Rivaldo leg Rivaldo goes down holding face player gets sent off, 8 years later Karma hits ya when ya least expect it Keita runs into Kaka, Kaka gets second booking and sent off.

If England played Argentina in the final (I know its HIGHLY unlikely) and we beat them by a goal scored from a handball you telling me you wouldn't let out a slight smirk and think justice served?????

difference is it would be revenge against Argentina, I doubt in Istanbul they're building a shrine to Keita for his cheating.

OK then if we did it against France then (this World Cup final prediction is getting more and more unlikely I know) if we won world cup or knocked out France from handball I'm sure everyone would think Karma's just woman slapped France????

Looks like Pai Mei taught Kaka the five point palm-exploding heart technique

the ivorian was lucky to escape with his life

HOW can anyone call that an elbow.
Ridiculously soft, no contact, is that what people want.

As for the ref, he didn't even see the incident and sends him off because of what the other team did.

The guy who is in Paris is at the world cup is reffing, Kaka will miss the next game, but the ref will continue to ref, I mean this is the world cup.

He got the goal wrong and even seemed to say it to Fabiano. Two players should have been sent off from the Ivory Cost, including Keita, if they had been, we wouldn't have had Kaka sent off.

If you've refs like today it only encourages players to cheat.

I'm sorry, but "I got it wrong," or "I didn't see it" (not like we'd ever hear it) is not anywhere near good enough at this level. It wasn't at the Irish French qualifier and it certainly isn't at this level. And just wait till we get to the bigger matches.

But there's no justice in this game. And cheating is encouraged. What kind of game is growing these days.

I cannot believe some of these comments? Kaka didn't do anything, what the hell were you all watching? Elbow to the chest? His arm was anatomically where its fooking supposed to be. He knew Keito was running at him so he stood strong, that is ALL. What did you want him to do? reciprocate and fall over and hold his face? Unbelievable

yes kaka seen him coming an stuck is elbow out.you dont need to stick your elbow out to stand strong.justice for all the play acting by brazil.

Mostly true, but honestly I would rather hear a ref say "I didn't see it" other than taking a fooking stab in the dark and giving the wrong guy a red card ya' know?

It's a red card offence. Violent conduct. Elbow to the chest, that's a red.

Keita should be banned for simulation.

One of the first times I've agreed with your comment.

Long may it continue!

Look.

Since he saw the man coming it was a PREMEDITATED ACTION. That's not self defence, that's violent conduct. Keita hadn't actually made an amount of contact to warrant the elbow.

Kaká deserved his card.

Well I most certainly do, Pam. He has meted out a little off the ball. Booking. On yer bike Kaka.

No, I am agreeing with you! I meant to say I think the IC guy was flat out cheating. The card has to be rescinded if Fifa has any sense left at all.

Fifa and sense in the same sentence Pam? Not even Blatter would try that one. The IC guy should have been booked for play-acting. But the problem with football these days is that the refs do not ref according to the words written in the Laws of the Game. Occasionally you do get a ref who is prepared to stick his neck out, and the EPL, the FA, Uefa and Fifa pull the rug and the ref is never seen again.

One of the most appalling things in football these days is the wholesale wrestling which take place in a penalty area before a corner of a free kick. Blatant holding. Penalty or free kick. Refs ignore it, and then you get a random one like the one De Rossi got today. Look at the shambles t'other day when THREE USA players were clamped by Slovenian defenders, and those fuckers get the free kick.

This is Fifa's responsibility and they shirk it.
