This is the thing for me. I’d never, ever criticise anybody for trying to do something to make a fan’s lot better but this whole thing seems a bit rushed and ill thought out.

Some people seem to think the kick off time is/ was the major problem. Others the day of the week. Some the location of the game. And a few even the choice of opposition.

If you’re going to organise a successful boycott, you really need to set out a list of non negotiable conditions. Not vague comments about putting fans first.

I would have thought if any game was going to be the one that broke the camels back and led to action, it would be a game moved to a Monday night, down South, where you need two days off work and a stop over to attend using public transport. Not one means getting home a bit late on a weekend.

Yep, far better we sit on our arses and do nowt.
You've already used the 'getting home a bit late' line and were shot down in flames.
Fans have already had an impact and have done far more than our club has in getting it changed. What is wrong with pushing further?

Edit oh and your first para is a crock of shit. That's all you ever do.

For me, it was always about the the 5.30 kick off.

I could, probably, have made it to Euston in time for a train back to Manachester but there were just too many “what ifs” in play (game delayed, problems getting out of Wembley, problems with the Undergound) that I was not prepared to take the chance.

I am not particularly happy about 4pm but at least it’s better than 5.30 and I shouldnt have any problems getting home. I’m not particularly happy that it’s in London but I understand why it is.

My reason for boycotting has gone so I’ll go. I will still make a donation to the food bank and hope all the other ex-boycotters will do the same.

What are you talking about?

All I ever do is criticise fans who campaign to make fan’s life better?

Well you’re first paragraph is to criticise the 1894 group saying it seemed rushed and ill thought out, but don’t acknowledged it achieved results by getting the ko time changed, and btw how do you boycott the frigging PL, that poster you replied to talks utter shite.

Not mentioned your forfeit for the wager yet...;)

I think rail strikes may affect attendance, if they are called for that weekend, otherwise I do believe that there will be plenty of Blues that will want to support the treble winning champions. It (now) kicks off half an hour earlier then LC finals do at the same venue, on the same day.
Seeing as it’s Friday my forfeit is to drink several pints of beer. It’s a hard job but sometimes got to do it so it might as well be me.
My gut instinct is around 12-15k attendance from the our fan base based on the slightly earlier Ko time

We need a leader or lead group to consolidate all elements....it can't be achieved by enthusiastic, well meaning individuals or a committee of hundreds.

It's a job for 1894 supported by Blue Moon Forum.

The origins of the issue are:-
Location
Time
Day.

The alternative proposals are -:
Home of The Champions
3pm
Saturday/Sunday

Another option is :-
A stadium equidistant to the teams

The Champions to have the right,in the event of being double winners, of choosing their opponents.

It appears that whilst many posters have firmly held views and proposals ,very few are prepared to step forward by volunteering their time or resources to effect the best and most effective outcome.

A bit disappointing really.

The origins of the issue and boycott suggestion were the KO time. Some were against the location, some were against the day but there was no concensus on the latter two and no measure of how many are actually bothered by the location and day, because everyone always knew it was going to be at Wembley . Unless there is an objective everyone agrees on,and now the time has changed there isn’t, there is no mandate for any organised demonstration.
It isn’t a job for 1894 or Bluemoon without anyone undertaking some kind of match going fan survey of opinion.
