It will be a sell out. I get trying to make our point. But our success breeds fans that want to see us play.

Key words ‘if any match’. Imo if were going to boycott a football match, to demonstrate to an organisation about our displeasure with their treatment of football fans, I would look at UEFA first.
Wasn't having a go I was just wondering why. Can't see us taking 6k+ to Athens looking at flight prices, but we will see.

Here's a thought.

Why don't the FA release a statement explaining to City and Arsenal fans why they decided to have the kick-off at 5:30pm on a Sunday?

That shouldn't be too difficult to do. And it would at least give a reason for the kick off time.

But as 'you all know', the FA won't do that. In fact they won't do anything. Why? Because they don't give a fuck about the fans. They only give a fuck about themselves and money.
It’s not just the time that’s the issue - five potential trips to Wembley this year - fuck that, there’s no need for this game or semi finals to be played at that ground, it makes finals less of a spectacle and sone of the ticket prices are a piss take.

Would that include the CL final in Istanbul?

UEFA know what City fans think of them. It's well documented and heard by UEFA.

That is my whole point if you read further up, no one did boycott it, neither will they boycott the super cup final, but a game a lot, included myself, cannot be bothered attending, some are demanding others don’t bother.

It seems a convenient boycott for a game a lot are not bothered with.

That as well. As we know, it's all about making money for the FA. Arsenal will sell out. A chance of another trophy they don't deserve. And a walk, bus or tube ride to Wembley and back home again. What a perfect day for Arsenal fans.

I was on the fence about this one, but will make sure I go now, I won't be told which games I can & can't attend.

The game is always at Wembley, it's nearly always on a Sunday. The only surprise is the kick off time. If it was CL or FA cup final there would be no talk of a boycott.

If people don't want to go, then feel free, but don't try and tell everyone else what they should do

Just because a game is always in x location on x weekday that doesn't make it right

Literally no one is telling you not to go, they are asking you not to go

With an attitude like yours we will never achieve meaningful change

No probs pal, I think when your messages get spread out over a couple of pages things get lost in translation and I presumed you thought I was advocating a boycott, over the Community shield, like other posters may think, which is definitely not the case.

Be interesting to see the take up for Athens, it seems a dear do to get there and its going to be stifling hot.

Hahaha there's always someone who "won't be told what to do", probably the same ones who won't be told they can't go home early.
