Community Shield - post match discussion....

Thought the criticism on here when we lost last year was OTT so not getting too carried away by today. Particularly when being reduced to 10 men in pre season when not fully fit must be even more of a handicap than usual. But it was noticeable how much better our passing game is compared to last year.

We need a new striker though. Aguero obviously cannot be relied on to put away important late chances.

On a side note, why did the bloke in the yellow outfit and his mate get arrested at the bottom of the Trinity Road stand? Missed all three goals!

Don't know why but he enjoyed lapping up the crowds cheers!

Looked like he took a couple of them with him ;)

Just watching the post-match waffle on ITV. Showed the bust up between Pants and Bertrand. Has to be said, Bertrand appears to be the latest in a long line of pricks to play for Chelsea.

Just said this to the missus. It's almost as if when scouting Chelsea's main consideration is the players in question must be obnoxious twats with dubious character traits.

Unless Rags or Dippers pip them to the post.

Brilliant!

Delighted to see us lift a trophy live for the first time since the Division 1 in 2002.

We looked good going forward when we put our minds to it, I don't know how Silva and Nasri fit in that formation, not convinced by the formation but maybe it was lack of personnel rather than a fundamental issue, bit too much space for Chelsea in the first half and shaky at the back a bit, but otherwise a great day out and more silverware :).

As a City fan not in the first flush of youth I'm pleased that City have now recently won the the 3 old domestic trophies.
