Complaint to BBC regarding Pete the Badge

just had a response to complaint #2 (of 4) re Simon Stone attending a commercial launch event for Tag Heuer at The Etihad. And guess what? It's another load of bullshit. I queried why the BBC were tweeting images from a launch event and effectively advertising on behalf of one of the rags' sponsors when there was no newsworthy element that I could see.

Just had the same response Trouble for them, he advertised the fact that they were launching two new watches with the price on a BBC website

Here's my follow up complaint to the Pete picture It's occurred to me that they stated he'd be going for over 50 years in the tweet How do they know this?
Full Complaint: In your reply you say that the picture concerned was filed by a national agency as "Bertie" Firstly can you tell me the name of the agency to enable me to contact them? Can you clarify if the name Bertie was understood by the BBC to be the name of the gentleman concerned as was implied in the caption on the tweet? I find it hard to believe that this name was just randomly used, an uncommon name, and that staff working on the BBC Sport media were unaware of the meaning of Bertie considering the number of Manu fans who work there. I'm not prepared allow this to be swept under the carpet especially considering the BBC's history
 
I'm sure this has already been mentioned but I ain't wading through 59 pages. I'm 99.9% certain the picture was used on the BBC's 'Sunday Premier League build-up'. I went to the pub at 12.30 and as my wife went to the bar (good lady) I logged onto the internet for the team news, the first picture I saw was Pete (so either the banner photo or amongst the text). My initial thought was good to see Pete at the game, my second was 'is Sergio starting?'. I'm 99% certain there was no offensive caption, or indeed any caption, so moved swiftly onto the team news and put my phone down when the drinks arrived. I thought nothing more of it.

I never look at twitter or facebook so could have not seen the MOTD site. So, if I'm correct the BBC displayed the photo (supposedly of the Etihad on Sunday but that's another story) at approximately 12.30pm on Sunday, with no caption.

Actually the more I look at that article it's fairly clear that back in Feb 2016 they chose to put questions and answers that ridiculed City! Compare the questions for us against those for Arsenal, Liverpool, United and Tottenham!

I think it demonstrates that in this case the BBC MOTD team do not have a leg to stand on. It's on the BBC Football page, almost a year to the day before the PeteGate scandal, and presumably the journalists behind the football website page are also the ones that work on the BBC MOTD social media? It must be the same department at least.

The prosecution's case is strengthening by the minute. So, it appears that they lied in their response on two fronts in blaming the agency for the use of Bertie and that no one in the sport department was aware of the derogatory nature of the term
 
Caught them in their own lies the bunch of wankers, good work those keeping on top of them. Keep calling them out on their bullshit.
