It was a civil case. The victim tried to take it to criminal court first but the Director of Public Prosecutions decided not to prosecute for whatever reason.

Civil case, so no chance of imprisonment.

It was a civil case. The victim tried to take it to criminal court first but the Director of Public Prosecutions decided not to prosecute for whatever reason.

I get it wasn't a criminal case, but if someone is found guilty of rape in any court of law criminal proceedings should then be pursued.

It's like myself receiving a £1 fine. Sickening.
