Conor Mcgregor punching an OAP

Anyone following this cunts current rape trial?

Its a civil case, no criminal charges can be brought as the DPP chose not to run with it.

Been following it closely, think he did it but sadly the woman's story has too many holes in it/loss of memory etc which will count against her.

He might very well be a **** but if the evidence isn't there we shouldn't be saying he did it just because we don't like him.

This trial by media is a joke.

There has been plenty of evidence presented to the court.

I just think a rape case of this nature is hard to get a guilty verdict on.

The testimony from the paramedic who attended to her makes very upsetting reading.

Like you say, very difficult to get a legal conviction in these cases but that's an entirely separate issue to people being allowed to draw their own conclusions based on the facts presented. She's turned down two pay offs from him as she sought a criminal trial but after that didn't transpire she's pursued a civil case. Is the law the same in Ireland with civil cases? (i.e. verdict decided on balance of probability)

I'm not sure.

Today wasn't a good day for her, reading the transcripts from court on RTE news website.
The other girl who was her work colleague was called to the stand by McGregors SC and said she was unaware of any rape and that Nikita was in good form before and after she went into the bedroom with McGregor.

I agree though with you on the paramedic's evidence yesterday. It was damning.

In a civil case is there just going to be a guilty, (or liable) verdict in which case he pays her damages, or a non-liable verdict where he pays her nothing? Or how does it work?

I've also read that she has turned down 2 offers of payments from him before it went to court, not sure of how reliable that is though.

He's a very powerful man who could easily manipulate witnesses.
