In which case we’ll all be smoking nuclear cinders before they get to the channel.

Well in that scenario I guess we’d need to go before they got there else we, and everyone we love, is gonna have a pretty shit time anyways.

Judging by many posts on the Russian/Ukraine thread there isn't a Russian left alive mate. We are told that most of their equipment is a bit shit and their soldiers suffer with very low moral, not a great combination.

What they do have is a weapon that will make the sky go orange.

Can you imagine if you had mobile phones, social media and 24 hour news back then.

Watching all our lads get sent over the top just be be cattle to the slaughter.

There would have been riots on the streets let alone protests. Many of that generation would have would have been left with so much discontent for those in power at the time, you could and probably would have seen putsch attempts.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. It enables one's mind to conjour up some dream scenarios.
The famous Xmas truce in December 1914 during the First World War, when British/French/Allied troops openly fraternized with Germans in no-mans-land, could have been intercepted by a time traveller from the modern era.
This mind of information could have painted a true picture of the future. He might even have persuaded them all to pick up their arms, retreat, and use them on the people that think what you are being asked to do is a good idea and necessary.
The "War To End All Wars" wouldn't have been such a futile waste if it had actually achieved that.

To be fair we are working on the assumption that Putin or any other members of the terror gang issue threats and genuinely start acting on them.

In that instance you have to stand up to them, invading them no, putting boots on the ground probably not.

But if they blink we should be ready.

Tbf they've not used the majority of their rumoured military might with the Ukrainian conflict.

Except they have, they have had to backfill their army with conscripts they have lost tons of experienced officers, they have no air superiority and are using tanks that have been in storage since the cold war. They can't even defend their own factories from drones as they are running low on air defences.

But they have plenty of soldiers in trenches which are hard to remove so now it is a war of attrition, but their military might has been embarrassed and shown up against outdated NATO equipment. NATO would destroy them within weeks if it wasn't for nukes.

And I forgot to mention the attempted coup last year that was on route to Moscow and couldn't be stopped as they had fuck all to attack it with. And now having to beg North Korea for shells.
