Considering our record, is a DRAW at Spurs a good point?

Has to play Lescott at left back. The thought of Lennon being marked by Sylvinho is bringing me out in a cold sweat. I also think Crouch will start for them so we need as much aerial ability as possible in the back four. If Nigel and SWP don't make it, I think it will be Komps and Barry in midfield, Stevie wide right and Robbie on the left

I would take point now if you offered it. I cant see anything but a Spurs win for this one.

1. We rarely get anything there, remember that dodgy last minute penalty last season.
2. The way Spurs play, very quick attacks, always players in the box i just cant see our defence coping with the constant pressure they will put on.

Player for player i would say teams are close in terms of ability, but they get the ball forward as quickly as possible and always have players in the box, where we often pass it for the sakes of passing it and have our strikers on the wings and all over apart from in the box.

Just hope they miss thier chances and we put one of ours away but can see our 2nd defeat here

Same here, i dread lennon with sylvinho, lescott should play LB for sure, he should of played LB at Bolton.

What's interesting reading this thread is how far people's expectations have dropped from early season.

A draw away at spurs is now the best most people dare hope for. And where's this optimism that we can pinch a draw there and then win on Saturday come from? We drew at home against Hull, Fulham and Burnley, so surely a point against Sunderland would be no disgrace?

I don't want a draw at spurs, I want a win. I want 3 points against Sunderland too and a draw would be another bad result.

But, considering our record we must be odds on to draw both games and, as someone else has said, it's a good job we won some of our early games or else we'd be looking at the wrong end of the table. Draw on Weds and it's 12 points from 10 games, which is bang on form for 45 points come the end of the season.

So in answer to the OP. No. A draw at spurs is not a good point. If we have any hope at all of breaking into the top 4, we have to win.

Spot on, muttly

No we need to win this game, Because i have a £20 bet with a yid that we finish 12 points higher than them i think i might have lost that bet :-(

I suspect that our 2nd defeat of the season is looming at White Hart Lane on Wednesday!
