Controversial City opinions

People may have looked at Peter Swales differently if we’d won one more game in the league in 1977 and one more in the FA Cup in 1981 (maybe not an opinion, more a question)
City being a bit shit in the 80s was probably accepted by most blues cos United were also a bit shit, if slightly better than us. There was always good times around the corner especially when we produced good young players. The reality of the Premier League and us being left behind started to kick in and the natives got restless. Franny’s chairmanship was a fucking disaster, it really destabilised the club. Maybe Franny should have tried to work with the existing regime. We will never know.

Can’t agree with any of that…..played some amazing football under Pellers.
Agree with this. Pellegrinis title winners were magnificent to watch.

His problem was that he couldn't adapt when he got figured out. Pep has reinvented the team repeatedly. Pellegrini couldn't.

We had the second highest goals tally in English football history (all competitions). Only beaten since by Pep. Pellegrini was great at City. Won a double in his first season and then took us to our first CL semi.
