not enough!
do they have any players worth part exchanging

This is a very good point. If we are going to accept £10 million less than we are asking for we should be looking at taking a few of their prospects/securing first options on them

South American players have proved to be a pain in the arse for us and we should focus our efforts elsewhere.

Bag the cash and lets move forward.

Re: £35 Million bid from Corinthians for Tevez

If Andy Carroll costs the same as Carlos Tevez, I'm going to have serious concerns about the way the game is going.

Tell them to make it £40m, just as a matter of principle and bite their hand off!

Thanks for the memories Carlos, see ya later.

£35 Million bid from Corinthians for Tevez

I don't think City will accept £35million in all honesty! 6 months ago the thought of losing Carlos scared me, now there's been too much said and I won't be upset at all if/when he goes. I'd accept Corinthians offer and go all out for Aguero

Re: Corinthinians make 35 million bid for tevez

No way they got the cash to pay us £40m plus, so why not do a deal where we get a 25% sell on, cos he only ever stays at ANY club 2 years?

Re: Corinthinians make 35 million bid for tevez

If this bid is real and they do have that sort of money (Daily mail are shit when it comes to our transfers) this is going to the wire. 10 days left of their transfer window, Copa America doesn't finish till 24th July just three days in it. Gets out prayer mat, 1) The bid is real and b) Argies get knocked out this week to enable deal to be completed.

If it helps I can face East.

Nothing on SSN as of now.
Just been on now,

I really don't understand where they get this kind of money in Brazilian football?! Weren't Santos supposed to be offering City about £20 million for Robinho! If they have this kind of money and the resources of amazing young talent why is the league so poor and no one cares about it?

£35 million for Tevez - They must be having a laugh!

From memory they could barely afford his wages. I wouldn't be at all surprised if MSI money was involved somewhere along the line.

Would much rather he went to South America.

Re: £35 Million bid from Corinthians for Tevez

If it was a club in Europe I'd want £50M minimum. If this is a genuine bid I'd bite their hands off, as long as a decent sell on clause could be slipped in.

If MSI are involved that means he'll be owned by a third party again.

Poor fucker is too thick to see just how much Joorabchian has manipulated his whole career.

Re: £35 Million bid from Corinthians for Tevez

Apparently,we paid around £25 million for him,and he's on £200,000 a week,i.e,£10 million a year for 2 Years,=£45 million minimum we should accept for him, fucking sick of City taking a hit on every signing we make,we are in a position of strength on this one.

From Wiki(i know!)
But doubt its MSI

Corinthians/MSI (2005-2007)

The Corinthians supporter Lula ex president of Brazil and Carlos Tévez in 2005.
The club's situation in early 2004 was among the most difficult in its history. Bad administration, lack of money and terrible campaigns both in the 2003 Brazilian Championship and in the 2004 São Paulo State Championship caused its millions of supporters to worry. Fortunately, some young players and a new manager Tite helped the team to improve from their terrible start. At the end of the championship, Corinthians finished in 5th place and gained entry to the Copa Sudamericana (a minor continental championship).
This situation was one of the factors which enabled Corinthians' president, Alberto Dualib, to convince the club's advisors to sign a controversial deal with an international fund of investors called Media Sports Investment. The deal granted the company a large degree of control over the club for 10 years in exchange for large financial investments in return. This has brought many quality players to the team, such as Carlos Tévez, Roger, Javier Mascherano and Carlos Alberto.
Despite the MSI investiments, Corinthians had a slow start in the 2005 state championship, but managed to improve as it progressed, eventually managing to finish second. Their start to the Brazilian championship during 2005 was difficult, too, but after Daniel Passarella's dismissal (due to an unexpected 5-1 loss to Corinthians' rivals, São Paulo), the club finished the championship well, and were eventually crowned Brazilian Champions for the fourth time, after some controversial annulment of eleven games due to a betting scandal.
The relationship between Corinthians' managers and the MSI president, Kia Joorabchian is not good, and after being eliminated in the Copa Libertadores, the club experienced a crisis which was responsible for the bad performances for the rest of 2006. Is still unknown whether the partnership will continue for the coming years and whether the club will get more funds to sign new players, although Kia Joorabchian has left the partnership.
On December 2, 2007, following a 1-1 draw away to Grêmio, Corinthians were relegated to the second division.

Re: £35 Million bid from Corinthians for Tevez

has this been brought up yet?

Carlos Tevez views a return to his native South America to play for Brazil's Corinthians as a prospect two or three years from now, despite suggestions from the country yesterday that his representative, Kia Joorbachian, favours a rapid move there for the Manchester City captain.

Joorabchian was quoted on Brazil's TV Gazeta station saying that he would "like a deal to be done swiftly, though in reality it will probably take a while".

Those comments were an immediate source of concern to City fans, who remain unsure whether Tevez intends to stay at Eastlands beyond the end of the current campaign. But the observations by Joorabchian have been taken out of context: in the course of several hours with TV Gazeta, the Iranian expressed the view that he would see the return of Tevez to Corinthians, whom he left to join West Ham in 2006, as a good way of him closing down his career. The 27-year-old, who has told City's internal media that he is now more settled having withdrawn the transfer request he tabled in December, said last year that he might seek to retire by the age of 30. Tevez has three years remaining on a £200,000-a-week deal at Eastlands.

Joorabchian said: "I can guarantee that Carlos Tevez would be happy to return to Brazil and play for Corinthians," he told the TV station. "I also want three more players to make the club the best in America. My desire would be to get Anderson [from Manchester United], Heurelho Gomes [from Tottenham] and Nilmar [from Villarreal]."

from indy in feb after the 1st ordeal.

Kia desperate to get back in the good books at Corinthians, Still involved with the club!!!

Plus they managed to fund fat ronaldo before he retired.
