We need some specialist coaching with corners, bring in big Dave Watson for starters.

Something of a misnomer. Met him last year and was amazed to find he's only about 5ft 11'........

I'm surprised, I recall him being so dominant in the air you would have thought he was 6'-11".

He was dominant in the air, no question. Must have had a touch of the Micah's about him though (spring heeled), cos I'm 6ft tall and he was a good inch shorter than me

From where I sit in 109 you can see the corners perfectly. A number of times we put in outswinging corners to the edge of the box and had 4 or 5 players who had in front of the ball when it arrived, meaning they have no chance of getting it. That is just fucking ridiculous.

However Kolarov did put in a beauty later on in the first half which was aimed just outside the 6-yard box.

I appreciate it was only one corner of many, but we didn't put a single player on the keeper, and there wasn't a single City player inside the 6 yard box before the corner was taken. Boro had a free run of the 6 yard box. Anyway, the corner was a sort of out-swinger, if that's what you could call it, and it was headed away.

Is it true that we scored the most goals from corners last season in the league? How can it even be possible?

Time is up and we have a corner and one last chance yet Milner and Navas think a short corner is a good idea. Idiots the pair of them.

They're beyond laughable.

Even after Courtois flaps at a cross before the goal we don't pile them in on top of him, just at the first defender's knees

Infuriating. Never been so pissed off. A chance to whip the ball in the 6 yard box twice in the last few minutes but yet again fuck them up. Something's got to be changed, it's a joke.

We play so well today, how is it that I end up feeling so disappointed all because of 2 terrible corners in the last 5 minutes. I'm so furious right now.

In professional sport where everyone is seeking to maximise their advantages by way of "the aggregation of marginal gains" and "incremental improvements", it is utterly baffling that knowing we win a lot of corners and then deliver either a crisp bag in the wind or a pass to their first man, that we haven't apparently done a thing about it other than on that Inside City episode when they just lobbed it to unmarked players to volley in.

Beyond frustrating

Should have had a corner in the second half .......linesman give it the other way. Wasn't even arsed as I knew it would have come to nothing anyway

For a professional footballer at this level to consistently hit the first man is disgraceful. We don't even give ourselves a chance with our corners. This needs sorting ASAP. I get the impression the coaching staff aren't really bothered by this or even working on them as it should have been sorted a long time ago. We are passing up golden opportunities by neglecting our set pieces and corners. Prime example today, last 5 minutes, big men all up and what do we do? Short corner. If you ever get the chance watch how Atletico use their corners and how dangerous they are from them.

Demichelis was going ape at the short corner. What the fuck was going through Navas and Milners head was beyond me.

Eventually the pair of them will be replaced by others who are more suited to the type of football we play. And people will ask "Why didn't we do this before?"
