All second jabs due in April will be given, Matt Hancock making speech in parliament just now.

12 million of them.

No weeks in April with no new first doses.

Also explained it is supply from India AND added that a 1.7 million batch that arrived this week that has had to be sent off for safety checks due to our rigorous safety programme. He did not specify the manufacturer or reason.

Boris Johnson will give a press conference / briefing later it seems.

Those long term shielding are being contacted by letter to be told shielding WILL end at end of March.

So they are communicating with us and the main thing is that the over 50s get seen to first and the first dose programme still continues. Look forward to being updated.

That would imply 12 million doses were administered in January, which they weren't.

Those from the first few days in February also. My 12 weeks is up in first week in May and I had mine in second week of February.

And the 12 million presumably includes those who need the second Pfizer dose from the first one in March. As that is 3 weeks gap only remember. So those who had this last week, this week or next and the first week in April are due their second one in April too.

You never answered my question would they be allowed to go
Have a look at what you posted mate.

I am not sure there is a clear answer to your question atm. I don’t think it’s worth the risk of booking a foreign holiday if your party is going include somebody who hasn’t been vaccinated.

No impact to the road map for relaxation will be caused by the supply issue Matt Hancock says in parliament.

Nobody who has a first or second jab booked already for April will have it cancelled.

The Pfizer also went to 12 weeks. My daughter recently received hers which was originally due in early January.

He has not yet explained btw what make is the 1.7 million does being retested for safety checks and why there is a concern.

It certainly has not in Wales from friends there who have had both in past 4 weeks. Perhaps they have taken that decision unilaterally. Or it is based on degree of vulnerability?

Though I do recall that they decided the 12 week gap for Pfizer helped that work better too. It may be devolved to the nations what to do with their supply.
