EMA agree too...

AstraZeneca vaccine is 'safe and effective' and benefits outweigh any risks, says EMA

EMA chief Emer Cooke says the committee has ruled “this is a safe and effective vaccine” and the benefits outweigh any possible risks. The jab is not associated with an increase in the overall risk of thromboembolic events or blood clots, she adds.

Clot review is an apt name. As it suggests the clots were reviewing and not reviewing the clots.

I do get the need to safety check. But they could have done that quietly in hours as it turned out. So to diss the vaccine in advance of that 2 day wait is crazy.

Hold off saying anything and even quietly suspend use for 48 hours - there are easy excuses to do this without calling the vaccine a killer - as they in effect inferred that it was by pre empting the results.

On BBC news at lunchtime and I expect later they had some nurses on due to have it this week who got it cancelled in badly hit Germany pending the review.

One of them has already changed her mind by the sound of it on the basis that it is now a tainted product whether vindicated or not.

The handling of this has been like a sketch out of Spitting Image but not funny as it very sadly will kill people needlessly.

No worries jimharri and again appreciated.

I don't often read all the posts and wasn't even aware of the political sub forum until you pointed it out to me.

I certainly have no issue with that at all in fact having this sub forum is a good idea FWMOIW if it doesn't compromise the bandwidth of any other forums.

Got to ask, FWMOIW? Never seen that before!

Bit of a rise in cases again to 6303.

But new record 1, 606, 298 pillar 1 & 2 tests

Up 305, 000 since yesterday to find a few hundred extra cases.
