Nightclubs reopen without restrictions in Israel tonight, bars and restaurants been open for 2 weeks. Why can’t we expect to be back to normal by September if they are pretty much there already?

Most people think we will, some people think we won’t. It’s impossible to say.
at the moment, we are smashing out the vaccine jabs and we all want normality to return. Everyone’s trying their best right now.

We'll be back to normal in a matter of months, social distancing will become a thing of the past; a sorry memory of a sorry year.

Better for the vaccines to get used than go to waste. I got mine last Monday, along with 3 family members. All because my dad works at the police and they'd been told there was 130 excess doses available that would go out of date if unused that day. This excess was because of people not turning up for appointments. 130 people over just 3 days. It's a disgrace.

We popped along after work and got lucky. By the time we walked out of the building, the excess had been used and it was appointment only.
Well that's lucky, the EU are talking about an export ban now so fuck knows what will happen.

As soon as I heard that on the news earlier (masks, social distancing may be around for a few more years) I knew there'd be more than a few riled...

Rightfully so. It can get to fuck. More than done my part and followed the rules, but this is a fucking ridiculous assertion. Once we're jabbed up and protected we should look to get our lives back asap. Few years of masks? Nah fuck off.

Everybody is at the end of their tether now. Unrest is simmering just below the surface. Nobody voted any government into power in the UK to impose as good as martial law on it's population forever. If they can stop vigils/protests etcetera then they can stop these fuckers spouting this shit about masks and social distancing for years, unless what they are saying is what is actually going to happen. If that comes to fruition buckle down because civil unrest will explode.

Why though, I just don’t get it what IS the hardship of having to keep your distance and wear a mask in certain places ,supermarkets say or doctors waiting rooms? It’s not any real hardship is it. Certainly not one that would have me grabbing a pitchfork and flaming torch.

Went to see my 91 year old nanna yesterday in her care home in wythenshawe
All the residents and staff had there 2nd jabs this week.
So during the visit (we stand at a window that is cracked 2”, nanna is half deaf so a conversation is sketchy to say the least) i asked the member of staff , who hangs about all through the visit, when we will be allowed to come in, or sit in the garden with her, and was told “no time soon”.

am i being thick? Surely once vaccinated they are pretty well protected and visits van resume ? Otherwise , these window visits could Continue forever!
