Stands to reason, contribution of the spike protein vector to the overall structure of the drug substance is small and so logic says it's adenovirus related.

Yep

Was expecting J&J to be offered to the under 30's later in summer though as it's a 1 shot, might rule that out.

Be interesting to see if there are any reports in US, they've been using J&J a lot haven't they?

England hospital deaths wk to wk :

307 / 106 NW / 35% (2% fall wk to wk)

174 / 40 NW / 23% ( 43% fall wk to wk)

132 / 20 NW / 15% (24% fall wk to wk)

74 / 14 NW / 19% (44% fall wk to wk)

43 / 15 NW / 35% (42% fall wk to wk)

43 / 8 NW / 19% ( 0 fall wk to wk)

33 / 4 NW / 12% (23% fall wk to wk) TODAY

The drop in the NW numbers - that often over reported on Friday is very noticeable and more consistent.

There's some literature on platelets and adenovirus interaction. "Thrombocytopenia has been consistently reported following the administration of adenoviral gene transfer vectors." !!!

GOING TO BE FUN IN THE CASE DATA TODAY

HERE IS WHAT THE GOV UK SITE SAYS!

Change to case reporting and revision to historical case data in England. The way cases are reported has changed. This has resulted in the removal of a number of previously reported cases in England. This affects newly reported cases on 9 April 2021. Regions and local authorities do not show the actual number of new cases reported. UK and England numbers of newly reported cases have been adjusted and correctly reflect new cases reported.

MORE DETAIL ON THE CHANGES FROM GOV UK RENDERING TODAY'S NUMBERS PRETTY MEANINGLESS

The way cases are reported has changed. Cases that have been identified through a positive rapid lateral flow test will be removed for people who took Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests within 3 days that were all negative. Cases of this type that were previously reported were removed from the cumulative total, reducing the total by 8,010. Newly reported numbers of cases for the UK and England were unaffected by the removal of these. Historic published date totals have not been changed.

Newly reported cases at regional and local authority level within England are calculated as the daily change in the total number of cases. This means that for 9 April 2021, these show significantly lower numbers or zero, and should not be considered as the actual number of new cases reported on that date.

Looks like a sensible idea that should have been thought of up front not weeks later and will from tomorrow settle down to normality.

But today render data rather misleading. If not useless.
