Negative result thank god but there must a bug going round because I still feel shitty

Due to travel I’ve had 3 negative PCR tests in the last 10 days but I feel like shit. Banging head and lethargic. I’m not alone either with the wife the same and a few in work like me.

But how many more years are we expected to live like this?
Apparently it took 2 years for the Spanish flu that killed berween 25m and 50m of the World’s population to die out. Several waves, then became “normal”flu from around 1920.

In a letter to the Man City program in March of 1919 Healdplace’s Grandma stated Tameside was the the worst hit followed by Bury, Oldham, Trafford and Salford.

As many as necessary to make living a much safer experience for everyone

So never then because viruses will always be here and will always mutate and sadly people will die from them like they have always died from them.

Ive had a bad cold which turned into a cough for two weeks now.

Was convinced it’s covid but all the tests keep saying negative.

The mrs has been sick too but not as bad as me. Definitely some bugs going round.

I'm not into wives tales but it could be the weather, this storm over the last week has brought crazy low pressure which can cause some people bother. I've felt the same over the last couple of days but lateral flows are negative and no other symptoms.

People complaining about these latest restrictions ought to realise that they’re nowhere near as bad as what some other European countries have implemented. There are lockdowns in Austria and parts of Germany currently, plus they’ve made vaccinations mandatory. Also, remember that most of those restrictions were brought in before Omicron even became a thing, whereas ours have come about due to Omicron.

but there’s a strong possibility we’ll be heading into more restrictions and possible lockdown. Whilst those countries start lifting theirs.

Here we go……member of Sage saying we need much more stringent restrictions in place. Scottish and Welsh governments already applied for the funding that will allow them to close businesses.

Not to mention North Korea, let’s just all be grateful that our government are so kind to us.

We all pay! Maybe different amount but we all pay in

If a close friend or relative hadnt been jabbed and fell ill youd say “fuck him let him die at home?” Doubt it
Ignore the clowns , hosiptal numbers not though the roof like last year , it’s obvious bringing the rules in cause of the government party’s last year , our freedoms been taking away

but it’s ok if you fat , drink , smoke that not crippling nhs but not getting a vaccine you can be left to die

Whilst the above does put a huge strain on the NHS, it's something they can predict and cater for - chuck in a virus that requires ICU bed/up to 6 nurses on top then it's potential carnage

Great information. Do you know what measures were put in place in those days to ease the problem?

Let’s see shall we? Nearly 600 deaths in Germany yesterday and that’s with some regional lockdowns, and without Omicron getting a foothold. We haven’t had a single day since opening up in July where death figures were anywhere near that high. And with 20-odd million boosters administered already, I think we might be in with a chance of dodging a bullet, whereas a lot of Central Europe might struggle.
