Lockdown... I got off the bus after work today and needed to pick up some bin liners and walked down the high street home.
Well, Costa was open (for takeaways) with a queue out the door, there were three women stood right next to each other in the street with no masks on, Holland & Barrett was eye-wideningly busy, a pitta butty shop was open for takeaways, the e-cig store was too, and there were people and cars everywhere.
What’s going on? This isn’t anything like the last lockdown. In the lockdown last year, nobody was knocking about at all. It was like a ghost town. This is not sinking in!
1,000+ deaths and 30,000+ in hospital. What’s it going to take to get people to STAY AT HOME?
Thankfully there haven’t been any mass gatherings of people yet though... that we know ofNo one cares anymore. Trust eroded, people tired of it all, no real repercussions if they don't stay at home either. I don't agree with their stance but it's so blatantly obvious what's happened and why people are acting like they are. Our government are simply not capable of getting people's attention anymore.
Great for her but I'm surprised they don't have to account for every dose, there's technically nothing stopping them bringing in their own family or arranging 'payments' from outsiders, that'd be a concern. She had to accompany him as he suffers from dementia, and just thought nothing ventured and all that so just asked in theory to save time as she would be in the next set of people anyway. Would have been easy for the people to be jobsworths and refuse but good to see common sense prevail.

I assume they will have still filled in all the necessary paperwork, I’m no doubt oversimplifying it but the nett result was still the same.Great for her but I'm surprised they don't have to account for every dose, there's technically nothing stopping them bringing in their own family or arranging 'payments' from outsiders, that'd be a concern.
I’m off to an all night rave later.Thankfully there haven’t been any mass gatherings of people yet though... that we know of
The death toll will start scaring people again and they'll take it seriously again.
IMO Right now there's a lot of "this isn't as bad as March, and I was fine then".
When it eclipses the first wave and we are setting records every day then people will be scared into being sensible.
They undermined the message by putting the vaccine target out there for the sakes of short time popularity. No one cares anymore.
