With the so called "Freedom day" starting tomorrow how are we all feeling about it?

I can't help having mixed feelings that while I feel the need to get back to normal it just feels wrong to do so with the increasing cases.
Walking around town today it felt like it was back to normal anyway. It was absolutely packed and there was no distancing. Also went to Asda earlier and about half the people in there had already ditched their masks. Like you say cases will rocket further over the next few weeks

For me the smell/taste thing didn’t start until about 4-5 days in, lasted a few days and now is starting to ease. For my wife it started almost straight away but she still has it. We were sniffing household products last night to experiment. We are both double vaccinated.
Hahaha that's what I've been doing,
Coffee, bleach... Nothing.
Ate a full chilli with no reaction, prob will be regretting that tomorrow though!!

I had it in Feb, still can't smell or taste anything except I can now tell if something is sweet or salty, absolutely nothing in-between though apart from a week where everything smelt like burning. Hope yours comes back quicker as it has totally spoilt most foods for me!
Know what you mean, had a roast dinner and a few beers with absolutely no taste, might as well as had weetabix and a glass of water.
A girl in the office has had no smell-taste for 12 months

First I knew I had it, had some dark chocolate gingers, couldn’t taste a thing, less that 20% wearing masks on my train into town yesterday, I’m not hopeful of a positive outcome.

Very nervous doesn't feel like freedom day at all tomorrow.
Personally I think we will have a brief few weeks of liberties being almost fully restored but I think by September we will be locked down again in some form. Boris will buckle under the pressure from SAGE, Whitty and Vallance etc. Furlough scheme may have to come back in and restrictions over winter.
The reality is under everyone is fully vaccinated its going to be hard.

Did anybody call you Karen?

Plenty of people ready to ditch the masks but I think I'll keep mine on for a bit longer whilst cases are rampant.

Put mask on to go pub toilet. Walked round corner and everyone standing crowding round the bar area without one.

So as everyone (who will accept it) will have been double vaccinated by September, and booster jabs will be commencing why will we be in lockdowns again?

Vaccines are not 100% and a big danger of a new variants evading them I guess.
