Higher infection rates lead to greater variants.

More people in hospitals means less staff dealing with people with other illnesses.

The variants will occur eventually anyway.
So are you suggesting we wait until winter when they are already under greater strain. Or stay in lockdown until next summer?

Show us the evidence that every single person in the uk needs to be vaccinated to stop a variant.

secondly, tell us how and when every person in the world will be vaccinated.

third, I am not anti-vax. I believe it works unlike some.

clearly not everyone has to be. As there are about 2.6m people who can’t be.

but every abstaining person is another hit to herd immunity levels.

and “meh, not everyone in the world will get a vaccine” is frankly a pathetic argument. There are plenty of viruses we don’t have ( very much, if at all) in this country due to vaccines that are not eradicated. TB for example, rife in some places yet less than 7k cases. That being said we are at 2bn people vaccinated globally so far.

simply put. Everyone not vaccination or immune due to having had it is another person it can mutate in.

yes there is a case to put forward that vaccinated people are getting it but more double jabbed means less transmission which means it’s r0 is lower than 1 which means it goes away.

Every unvaccinated person is a possible increase in r0.

edit: and it’s worse in a country with lots vaccinated. The virus that mutates past immunity is the one that wins.

If you don't get the vaccine you are a weak minded democracy hating coward. Those refusing the vaccine are prolonging the pandemic for everybody, including themselves and the majority that are vaccinated. A stick is needed.
That’s nonsense as infections won’t stop with or without jabs and there won’t be many fit and healthy people dying from it. Obviously if the vaccines work the older and vulnerable won’t be dying in large numbers either. When cases go rife later on in the year though and the flu makes it’s return after a year of isolation it seems pretty clear another lockdown will come regardless of if 99% are double jabbed or it’s about 80%

You can’t have it both ways.
You can’t be wetting your pants over a few people not wanting it in the uk whilst at the same time perfectly happy with not everyone in the world having it.

Irrelevant anyway as when everyone has been vaccinated, these people will come up with a new goalpost.

So when is the next lockdown going to happen and for how long?

I've seen September thrown around a fair bit. 2 weeks, a month?

Place your bets.
