For those having breakfast or a nervous disposition please don’t read the following

March 2020, Cheltenham week, I was in Sheffield on a delivery, it was very cold so I had several layers on, farted and followed through.

I stopped the van, climbed in the back to “clean” myself up and the door closed on me, as I was taking my jeans off, the floodgates opened and liquid shit just drained out of me, I couldn’t stop it. I was covered in natures waste. Took my hi viz off, my gilet and jumper to clean myself up. Went to open the door of the van, keys were in the ignition and phone in the cradle and it had locked. Van has a bulk head so no access to the front, I was trapped, shit all over the van ply lined floor.

My only way out was to open the cage on the bulk head and crawl into the front but it was such a small opening I didn’t think I could get through, it was my only option.

As I attempted it the floodgates opened again, nothing I could do. I did make it through, relieved but once again covered in shite. I still had a delivery to make. Got another hi viz and used my notepad to try and clean up. Got the parts out of the van, put them in the customer’s yard, rang the bell and asked them to carry into the factory from about 20 yards away.

Got home, stripped off, full of the brown, it had even run into my work boots which I binned, Mrs H bless her got all my gear and put it in the wash, that was apart from the hi viz involved in the second incident, I discarded that at the side of the road where there was a load of rubbish (I know, fly tipping which I’m ashamed off but not thinking straight). I returned to that company this week and what a surprise the hi viz was still there, picked it up and discarded

Was really ill after that, all the symptoms of Covid but no way of knowing as I couldn’t get in the Docs and the nearest test centre available was Glasgow.

I shudder to think what I would have done if I couldn’t get out of the van, it was an industrial estate on Friday afternoon, worst experience of my life
This needs adding to the soiled thread in the classics.

Here we go again…

Premier League holding a meeting on Monday to discuss pausing the season.

Fucking joke.

Maybe more players should be vaccinated eh. Thick selfish twats.
There's sufficient evidence on here to show that vaccination alone will not stop people from catching the Omicron variant, and we have no evidence to suggest that it is unvaccinated/vaccinated players that are catching it.

I agree that people should get vaccinated, but footballers are no different from anyone else, and football is no different than any other business. If so many people contract the virus and must isolate, then that business simply cannot function.

Not really since most people are just getting on with their lives:

Project fear are the people who won’t take the vaccines. That includes some footballers being paid ridiculous amounts of money who are responsible for fans travelling across the country only to have matches cancelled at short notice. It also includes people who don’t work but are happy to increase the risks for others.

A lot of the people claiming everyone else is living in fear can’t even create an atmosphere at a football match, otherwise the Etihad would be rocking for every home game.

They also seem to want stewards to get a hard time at home games by not filing in online forms that it takes 2 mins to complete.

Btw I’ve got a packed weekend of events including a Christmas do, work, 5 a side and 2 Premier League football matches. Some peole might restrict their activities in the run up to Christmas and that’s their choice.
You could argue people not taking the vaccine are not scared of the virus and are playing the percentage game on something that kills so few fit and healthy people. Project fear will see people getting a 4th jab by March and another lockdown in January.

Not sure what us having a shit atmosphere for a few years has to do with COVID or project fear. Anyway fair play to you getting on with life I hope you have a great weekend. The point is loads won’t be doing as the government and media whip up the fear levels to the extreme.

Feeling very negative this morning.

Today is my last day before finishing for Christmas. My entire feed and inbox is full of cancelled gigs yet again.

I can’t go through this endless cycle of shite again.

Reckon I’ll be looking for a new job after Christmas unless something rapidly changes for the better - just can’t be arsed with this never ending battle.

Feel for you blue.

Sorry to say, If they are playing the percentage game based on risks of vaccine vs risks of Covid, they are either looking at the miss represented data or they are playing the game wrong.

Still extremely unlikely to snuff it though aren’t they?

About 2% - 3% of people in the age categories concerned suffer some form of long covid, something that is worse without a vaccine. At best that impacts your season, as we have seen with our own players, at worse that impacts your career. Very silly risk to take given the miracles of modern science have produced a safe jab that mitigates that, even sillier to trust what you read online against the advice of your own club doctors.

Your prose flows with absolutely no coagulation. I'd read a book by you. About anything.
