Or you just gear up and fund the NHS to support society in a Covid era. Whatever ‘free at point of use’ model you care to adopt, it will still need paying for. We have been obsessed with efficiencies and cutting costs and then act surprised when it can’t cope in a crisis. You get what you pay for.

But like my place of work… cut back on overtime… give me enough staff then!! Not rocket science is it.

We started using Shocal in the last lockdown and still use it quite often, its more pricey but if its helping out we're all for it.

I honestly must be missing the point here.
The new strain is not causing over concern in people getting extremely ill or been rushed into hospital.
Are we in effect shielding the unvaccinated?
Because if we are this is absolutely stupid now, why cause people all this financial pain.
If everyone is getting it well so what? If its not causing any undue harm to many, why stop everything again.
I for 1 am totally pissed of with it now
