The youth (18+) will be vaccinated once it’s their turn. As for ethnic older people what do you propose, tieing them down while you jab em?
Getting vaccine supporting ethnic people to talk to people in a community works wonders.

Have I missed something? I thought all flights out of the country for non essential travel was banned, so how come all these people are just waltzing backwards and forwards to covid hotspots with no control?
Depends on what list people are on.
Many people were flying to Turkey or Abu Dhabi then on somewhere else (Pakistan, India abd Bangladesh). Not from next week of course as both are now on the red list.

They will be making ‘essential’ journeys. The list of reasons for essential journeys is endless.
Everyone will have a different opinion on what is essential. I saw 2 British nationals in India, on the news, who had gone for funerals. One of a cousin, one of a nephew. My son, who lives in Madrid, missed my mother’s funeral last month. It’s not essential and we never considered his coming over. Others may feel differently.

I think they’ve started this haven’t they with various campaigns. Have to say vaccine uptake in this country has been incredibly high so far
True, community leaders have been encouraging take up of the vaccine for months and there has been progress in most parts of the Country. if track and trace is working then hopefully the Bolton surge will be brought under control.

It’s the international travel that seems to be our biggest risk as posters have said. It’s tough on the holiday / airline sector but they should be supported adequately by the Government.

Speaking to someone who lives in Bolton, he seems to think that the rules about mixing indoors are largely being ignored during Ramadan. Could be true, could be rubbish.
