Masks are not worn by the majority of those who are spreading it ie under 16 & the so called too vulnerable to wear them

Its very interesting that America seemingly has cracked on with life and it begs the question why can't we and why is everything on the eve of freedom day so bloody negative?
The New York governor earned an emmy award for his daily covid briefings, however last month he got rid of them. Fantastic.
Compare this to our government's approach and obsession with figures.

I'm not suggesting the US has been perfect with their covid response however surely if they want people to feel more confident they should reel back on some of the stats and order the press to do this too?

We couldn’t help but notice that when a woman came forward and accused him of inappropriate behavior, a restriction was lifted. Now everything is wide open and people are getting on with their lives. He’s still an arrogant asshole and I hope his term is coming to an end.

I think we should open up, as for masks, what good some of them do, homemade, some not being worn properly anyway, I’m happy to wear and see them being worn. As someone else said it reminds us to socially distance at least.. How comes here the non vaccinated are being blamed for the rise in cases, hospitalisations etc , but Israel mostly jabbed are struggling?

Not that we didn’t know it already, but Katie Hopkins is a stupid ****. The one country in the world that you wouldn’t want to go and take the piss out of quarantine rules - and then compound things by bragging about it on social media - is Australia.

No doubt many will now not bother isolating when they get 'pinged'.

Does anyone know about the sensitivity of the track and trace app? With staff returning to offices, if it id a bit of a blunt tool, it could become farcical.

They aren't doing so anyway.
1/3 deleted the app last week.
So the system is broken as a way of putting a break on the spread of Covid.

Not where I live. The bail reform that he passed at the beginning of 2020 has sent our state into a downward spiral. And there’s no way our state should be in a deficit. We pay some of the highest property taxes in the nation and each year they keep going up. Manhattan is in an absolute state where crime is rampant. There’s no way I would venture in there for a day’s outing. I don’t know if it was reported much outside of NY but in March 2020 Cuomo directed Covid positive patients to nursing homes once they were discharged from hospital, where the virus ran rampant and upwards of 12,000 seniors died. Then it was discovered that his health dept tried to suppress this information from coming out and it was someone from his own party who stood up to him because he had a relation who died in a nursing home. The guy is just bad.
