I just can’t understand how someone can be so scared of something (a small prick - excuse the pun) that they would rather die. It makes no sense to me at all.

Agree mate....had a phobia of needles myself,shit scared of them,god knows why.
Got diagnosed diabetic and was injecting 4 times a day.
IMO,in certain circumstances,you simply have to overcome it.
