If football restarts without fans , any records will jsut have a massive asterisk to them. Records have to be set in somewhat similar conditions, and no where there has been a 2/3 month break halfway thru the season. Or playing half the games with no home/away support. Livarpool will just have a tainted title and tainted records - which seem to go well with that club.

You can be tested and have a negative result but still have the virus because the test is not good enough.

Yep it’s looking like sport will return in some capacity with no fans seems the government think that too! So seems sport is going to become essential like the nhs workers teachers delivery people, while the rest of us who are not in that bracket abide by the Coronavirus rules.

Does that mean the media will be exhorting us to stand on our doorsteps on a weekday evening clapping footballers especially the 'special' teams involved in disasters in their 'istree'

So with France now cancelling and yet they're further down the line than us with this virus it just beggars belief that we still continue to look to restart.
Football could be damaged irreparably if through its selfish actions persons die as a result or it leads to a further spike due to more and more people people getting complacent.
Mates round each others houses for games thousands of scousers out celebrating should they win the league etc.
Someone will have blood on their hands and I'm sure the vast majority of footballers/managers don't want anywhere near a football pitch now.
What footballer wants to leave their family at this time to go live in a hotel.
Debruyne for example two kids and another on the way is he really interested in living in a hotel split up from his family for weeks on end going through the motions to satisfy the money men who only care about their bank balance and not lives.

The French football season will not be allowed to resume, the country's prime minister has said.

"The 2019-2020 season of professional sports, especially that of football, will not be able to resume," Edouard Philippe said.
