Corruption in English football?

No other explanation for our non penalty last non. Someone is using VAR to try and fix the games. As sad as that makes me feel, I can't think of any other reason for the penalty not to be given.

You have pundits last night laughing at it saying the refs are making it as they go. But as fans who pay lots of money it's not funny.

I really dont want to believe the game I have loved since a kid is now the most bent it has ever been.

It was a clear penalty ok the match ref could miss it , I understand that. But there is no way the VAR ref misses it no way, unless its bent.
And we still have some who will tell you it ain't bent

Individuals in decision making position can be biased, and by so may effect the outcome of a game, that I'm sure of. It's unprofessional.

But a larger group of organized individuals deliberately trying to steer results in a preferred direction seems unlikely. I mean, that would have to involve so many person, over such a long period, and I find it impossible to believe it wouldn't have been exposed, or that some whistle blower brought this to medial attention. Why wouldn't that happen? Out of fear? Fear of what, or whom?

Who would be the person in charge of this systematized corruption? And what would be the gain? The obvious (and likely) only answer would be money, right? Someone makes money on it.
So who?

I can't answer your questions but the non penalty needs explaining. The only 2 people who say it wasn't a penalty are the two people in charge. That is not right and it is not incompetence either.

I may have your answer. It is widely reported that in November last year the Chinese owner of Southampton wants to sell and was using their good results to up the sale price. Since then things have gone downhill.
Last night at 1-1 it was a clear penalty and the keeper sent off. If a 9 - 1 thrashing followed some very rich important people would be very upset.

Jim Beglin not only excused the ref but also the VAR cheat, saying ‘even with all the views’ or some such bollocks you can’t always be clear. It was fucking clear as day that Foden was fouled to everyone apart from Moss and the **** looking at the VAR monitor

The first sentence is all the proof you need. This would not only be Unprofessional, it would also be BENT.

I absolutely agree with you, and would like to hear an official explanation of it.

The tv contracts are huge and demand a return on investment. Var helps them get that return. How do we make the most money? Answer is a title race between the red scum which is what they were hoping for this year. The scousers collapse seen the end of that dream so second best is rags pushing for the top. Unfortunately we got in the way again.
