Corruption in English football?

Last was indeed bizarre, and I there have been other instances similarly hard to understand, not only concerning City.

It's not all all impossible, especially when such a huge amount of money is involved... but again, so many individuals would have to be involved.

Do you rule out that we as a club are a part of any such foul play? We went from getting the hardest possible cup draws to very kind ones.
Taking your last point first, that on its own is bizarre. I do not believe in balls being warmed up etc but hell it is now the total opposite. I would hope we are not complicit in any corruption. Second, the Milan goal that was ruled out tonight was as bizarre as our non penalty and I can only think it was a direct order to var to disallow it. Not even Scholes knew why it was disallowed

I have been keeping an eye on the odds for utd to win the title for the last couple of months.
After our win against wolves the odds for utd to win the league was 400/1.
Now there are two ways which these odds will change. One is another match being played and the odds changing on the result. Or money being put on it.
Now considering no ball was kicked between wolves and the Derby utd odds to win the title shortened from 400 to 125/1. That's serious money to shorten that much without another game being played and then you get the refs performance last night.
And a successful utd is good for business

Mark Halsey tried and was ignored. Calciopoli showed that a small group of 'elite' referees can be bought.
Or the Portuguese Apito Dourado scandal, that showed not only can referees be bought, but even after there are enough people in positions of power to brush everything under the carpet. They even had wiretaps of them talking about doing it, a confession from the referee (on fear he might "go missing") and they still got away with it because they had enough friends in high places.

Also don't forget corruption doesn't have to be about money. If you annoyed the GPC you didn't ref them again and so missed all the so called big games. Throw in cup finals that you can be promised and refs find that if they want the big games they have do what they are told.

If the rags were level on points with City with two games left to play and a -10 goal difference, they would win both games 7-0. I'd put all my money on that.

How do you explain people who can make decisions & those commentating telling the viewers they have seen something entirely different to the watching public even with the benefit of replays.

I think only cos Madison & other Pros tweeted did it get any traction & the narrative was changed to that’s why players dive not wtf has happened & how is it possible with VAR.

it’s not VAR that makes decisions, it’s people watching a Fcking video.

Normal time.
Slow motion.
Freeze frame.

Yet the corrupt and bent bast*ard officials at Stockley Park still said it wasn't a penalty. They didn't even ask Moss to look at it on the monitor.

As per, nothing from Atkinson, Riley, or the PL.

I will bet my life on it. If that was Fernandes at OT instead of Foden at the Etihad, the penalty would have been given by VAR.

Serious Money? It would only take a few hundred quid to shift 400/1 to 125/1, even then they'd be offering 200/1 for part of the bet.
