Corruption in English football?

I have been keeping an eye on the odds for utd to win the title for the last couple of months.
After our win against wolves the odds for utd to win the league was 400/1.
Now there are two ways which these odds will change. One is another match being played and the odds changing on the result. Or money being put on it.
Now considering no ball was kicked between wolves and the Derby utd odds to win the title shortened from 400 to 125/1. That's serious money to shorten that much without another game being played and then you get the refs performance last night.
And a successful utd is good for business
Haha heard it all now
How can or could they be succesfull?
2 main strikers out
Hard games
Need us to lose or draw over halve our games then they need to win just a pipe dream.

The successful part was a dig at the ex prem league chief executive who made that statement.
I'm not saying they will be but if money is involved from the likes of the TV companies etc they might find someone who can make them successful

I think the vile, cheating, corrupt cashcow of Man Utd is to blame. Too many rags and their apologists in influential positions, backed by US investors and Far Eastern betting syndicates. Man Utd are complicit and responsible for the corruption in English football, including intimidation and bribery of officials and the decisions always going against City as well as the anti-City diatribe in the media. Man Utd and its sympathisers have their dirty fingers in Sky, the FA and the PL.

You are of course correct that it’s a pipe dream but it could be possible. For example Dias gets a straight red early on against Fulham who then get a dodgy penalty to go one up against 10 men. Despite us still dominating play we can’t score and on a breakaway with 10 minutes to go we concede a penalty and go to lose 2-0. Despite everyone saying the red card shouldn’t have been given and it was a game changer it isn’t overturned and Dias misses three games. Next league game against Leicester Diasis suspended and with Stones missing through injury and Ake not yet fit we play Laporte and Garcia. Vardy has a field day and we lose again. Suddenly the gap is down to single figures and the media pile in with their negative shit as more and more pressure is piled on. Rags are given a couple of penalties to ensure they keep on winning and the fat lady who is currently waiting in the wings is sent home as the unthinkable begins to unravel. And it goes on for a couple of more games until either rags or Leicester are within a three or four points with three games to go. That said I would still fancy our chances but you can see how easy it can be to manipulate things.

Not a chance in hell any of this is happening anytime soon.

For a start this City squad is full of multiple Premier League winners who know how to get over the finish line.
On the other hand they have only 3 players who have managed it...one is a goalkeeper who has lost his place in the team, another is a washed up midfielder who won his titles with another club and lastly the other is a world class gurning champion who can’t play football.

Also the raggy cnuts have to win all remaining 10 games to have even the slightest of hopes.
In their last 10 they have only managed to win 4, and their longest winning streak this season is also 4.
Its over mate 100%

A few years ago that sort of thing did happen, sky playing endless re runs until Kompany, Aguero, Adebayor was banned. It is one of the reasons we built such a strong squad, we can now cope with bent decisions. Pep has also moulded the team to control a game so that the bent bastard in black is not given too many chances to corruptly influence the game.

In the 18th century, corruption had another meaning. If a 'gentleman' did not think he was getting what was due to him, it was classed as corruption.

I think the Rags and Liverpool and maybe one or two more still have that attitude. They are 'gentlemen' not getting their 'rights'.

Think of it that way, and it explains a lot.

Normal time.
Slow motion.
Freeze frame.

Yet the corrupt and bent bast*ard officials at Stockley Park still said it wasn't a penalty. They didn't even ask Moss to look at it on the monitor.

As per, nothing from Atkinson, Riley, or the PL.

I will bet my life on it. If that was Fernandes at OT instead of Foden at the Etihad, the penalty would have been given by the ref before Penandes had started his scream and fall.
Edited for accuracy.

Well well! Non-officials management folk telling refs what decisions to make! All above board, obviously.
