Some of youse guys act like Pants is, well, Pants. He is a pretty good keeper. Granted until the last round we have had a dead easy draw. Well, Stoke away wasnt a picnic but youse catch my drift. I have confidence in Pants. Is Joe a better keeper?? yes, but Pants isnt shite either. All keepers drop bollox on occasion. Joe has had his share this season. Thats the way it goes. If Bobby played Pants v Chelsea in the semis and won, what makes you think he wont play him against Wigan in the final
Pantilimon played a vital role in beating Chelsea, the save at Mata's feet was awesome. He shouldn't play on Saturday just because it's the FA Cup and he's played all the other games, he should play because he's performed well and deserves it.

Hart is our number one and Englands number one. Very few teams would play their reserve keeper in a final. Madness for me regardless of the fact he has played every game in the run so far.
Totally agree. I understood playing Pants if he was staying as we need to reward him and encourage him for next season but if he is off we shoudl play our best, which is Joe.

Pantilimon should play in the Final! I understand people saying Hart should play now Cosy Pants is leaving but he has earned his spot in the cup team. I know most think Hart may be the better keeper but he might not be. Look at the composure of Panti when under pressure from crosses and corners + long shots (- Early flap in the Semi) then look at Hart who is always beaten down low from long range and flaps at every cross put in his box but even then he makes some of the best saves you will ever see made and he has that 1 special save in him (Kenwyne Jones FA Cup Final) (Aston Villa away 1-0) ideally both would stay as there the perfect 1st and 2nd Keepers but everybody knew Panti wasn't a back up when he signed so good luck to him.

This. Good idea to keep reserve on side, but if he's going anyway no need to.

You can understand his reasons for wanting to leave , he feels not playing regularly has hurt his international chances and that's fair enough , looking at the Romanian international managers words then it probably has done .....
He's been here around 22 months and hasn't really managed to dislodge Joe Hart , and probably isn't likely too either .... aside from a few cup appearances.
He's not a bad lad , and although he has his faults , he's a good keeper .... i hope that , if he does leave , it works out for him somewhere else ...... and should he take an FA Cup final winners medal with him then at least he'll look back on his time here with a bit of 'fondness'.

Why are people saying that Pantilimon 'hasn't put a foot wrong when called upon'? Utter, utter bullshit.
If it wasn't for Kompany getting back onto the line then his terrible early flap at a free kick would've resulted in us being 1-0 down in the semi final.
He knocked us out of the league cup with two horrendous cock ups against Villa.
He made an awful error resulting in a goal in the charity shield.
For someone who hasn't played many games he hasn't half got a back catalogue of howlers. Stop overhyping him FFS.
