Not sure if you’ve tried but it’s easier to get a click and collect, if you search through the various supermarkets near you.
Iceland and Morrisons have slots for delivery available, I’ve not failed yet, sometimes you have to try a few times a day but you’ll get one. Morrisons also do a pre picked box selection available same day.

Piers Morgan gone on mute again, today ranting at Sadiq Khan, doing his usual now of asking the question and then allowing him to say 1 word before speaking over him and answering the question for him. Utter wanker.

Some good signs for some countries following deescalation. Here in Valencia it has been nearly 4 weeks since children have been allowed to go out and nearly 3 weeks since adults have been allowed to exercise. So far there's been no spike in cases or hospitalizations. We're all set for phase 2 in about ten days if it continues likes this.
Is everyone respecting it or are loads taking the piss like here in the UK? Give an inch etc?

Isn't this so bloody obvious.

And yet for weeks and weeks we had that moron Witty and his band of cretins, advising government ministers without a science o-level between them, that there was no need to wear them and no benefit in doing so. So that was the moronically stupid and wrong advice being pedalled.

And yet all the time we could see how effective mask-wearing was in Asian countries. An effective solution was right there in front of us.

The government's persistently wrong advice on something as important as this ha been a bloody bloody disgrace.
Surely mate we are aware that it was down to not wanting to deplete the stocks of face masks for front line?

We’ve got 3 Asda’s that are within 10 minutes drive from our house - 2 of them have no slots ever or at least 2 weeks before a gap, which is fucking pointless. Whereas one of them you can get a slot 2/3 days later every single time. We do a shop for my mum and one for the in-laws, add whatever extras we need that we don’t get from the local shops. Jobs a good un.

I've noticed a big difference in availablity between the different supermarkets when shopping for my Mum near Stockport vs me in North Bristol. We've had almost no luck getting Morrisons deliveries, but have been able to get Tesco's ones if we keep trying.

And we can get Morrisons stuff next day via Amazon, Mum cannot - they don't deliver to her area.

But your point about food boxes is a great one. Our local butchers do them and have been great
We've had bread boxes from the local bakery, a box of free fish from Morrisons and the local fruit and veg supplier too. I've actually been to the supermarket just once since 9th March yet have eaten very well indeed. It's cost a lot more than normal but luckily we can afford it. Others might be less fortunate.

I've lived in the city centre for two years now and I think they've cleaned the pavements once. Just before a Tory conference to try and make the place not look grubby. Sadly the likelihood of them doing anything like this is minimal.
Should have cleaned them afterwards

It probably was I guess. But still disgraceful to lie to the public like that. And they could have been telling people to make masks out of bits of cloth or what-have-you.

How you feeling mate? Hope you've picked up a bit from the other day.

But you know people wouldn’t make them, first instincts would be to hammer eBay and Amazon for them. That’s how we roll in this country.

this from infected folks or general population?
General population. Only a tiny minority have caught this so far... as many on here have been saying.

Great news in terms of your chance of not catching it. Not good news in terms of your chance of survival if you do.

we know the vast majority survive this if you get it, more so if you’re below age of 65

As far as I can see it's been respected really well. Supermarkets are a pleasure, everyone is wearing masks (obligatory from today in all public places including open air). There is some discontent, mini protests in parts of Madrid (right wing parts it has to be said - we have a left wing govt).

The big tests are yet to come here when we hit phase 2 and 3. Everyone flocks to the seaside (many have second homes that so far they haven't been allowed to go to) in July/August so it will be interesting to see what rules are in place and how they're obeyed in those times.

Rolls-Royce Derby. Heartbreaking. 9,000 direct jobs. 36,000 associated supply chain jobs, plus ancillary support organisations. Could be as many as 50,000 people's livelyhoods destroyed.
Heartbreaking indeed, but I don't think anybody will be buying planes till 2022 at the earliest. Airbus will be doing the same soon.
What is the alternative to business retrenchment?

The phrase ‘World-beating’ Track and Trace system worries me. This is the government who informs, almost daily, that we are being lead by ‘the beat medical advice in the world’ yet our numbers of deaths suggest that can’t be the case.

If we were in the group of countries leading the would, shouldn’t our figures be nearer South Korea, less than 500?

Now a legal requirement in all public places in Spain. In fairness most people in our SE Spain area were wearing them anyway as a courtesy to other people.

The bestest, most tremendous ever.
