Can you not lift a dumbbell at home for 4 weeks FFS? Or go for a jog? It is really that terrible that you cannot go to the gym for 4 bloody weeks?
What dumbbells? I go to the gym because I don’t have any weights at home.

I do strength training with heavy weights using a barbell and plates with a squat rack. For proper ones with the size of weights I lift would cost a few grand up to about £5k.

I’m not going to be able to put my sofa on my back to squat or deadlift my bed for the next month. I might try, but I’m thinking I’d be likely to break them.

I’m losing out on going to one of the only places I go to as someone who lives alone, a place with ZERO cases, yet schools, places that are accounting for over a quarter of the spread of this virus, are staying open.

If we were actually doing something to really stop the spread of this virus and help out the NHS, secondary schools and colleges would be closing. Gyms have been very safe places with very cautious and sensible members and workers, with distancing and sanitising not seen anywhere else.

The holocaust did happen and men did land on the moon as well.

Honestly I find your argument so fucking tiresome, I really do. You're an intelligent bloke I am sure, and therefore it is mind bogglingly how you cannot get your head around exponential growth and the inexorable hundreds of thousands dead and an NHS completely swamped, with people dying not only in corridors but before they even get to hospital. If we do nothing its fucking armageddon and yet you compare it to respiratory viruses we get "every single year". Mind boggling.
You talking about the NHS getting swamped when you vote in every single election for austerity and cuts is priceless. A man who, until April this year, believed everyone needed to just look after themselves, and that society didn’t really exist, suddenly believes in collectivism and huge government...

It’s not 4 weeks though is it? Decisions made in secret, no transparency whatsoever, no details around the actual costs of lockdowns v the benefits, no indication what numbers they’re actually looking at, numbers and graphs either made up or from over a week ago, graphs with the words “this is not a prediction but a scenario” printed on the bottom but that’s not actually stated.
Lockdown lifted on December 2nd but everyone then in a tier but we won’t tell you how that works either. Any pubs and hospitality left tipping everyone out at 10, some sort of Christmas and then lockdown 3 on January 2nd, because Terminator like, the virus will be back.

It’s a levelling up of sorts I suppose, plunging the entire middle class into poverty, unemployment and homelessness as well as blighting the young and very poor for decades to come.

All to fight a respiratory virus that generally takes very old people, just like respiratory viruses do every single year. The only difference with this one is, if you’ve died from metastatic cancer, a heart attack, a stroke or some such like in the past, you’ve not had a swab shoved down your throat to see if you might have had a virus sometime in the last 3 or 4 months and, if you have, you’re on the ‘Covid pile’ which doesn’t seem Lquite right.
The presumption seems to be that everyone who has died with Covid, would all still be alive if this virus hadn't appeared, which is a long way from the truth.
That is ok then , just the old dying , utter nonsense , you havent even considered long covid in all age groups

Huge government? WTF are you on about? I am simply understanding the fact that if we don't put strict controls in place, tens - perhaps hundreds of thousands - of people would die needlessly. Meanwhile on planet cuckoo land where you live, everything is hunky dory. Astonishing.

Spot on,every word.

Weren't you the poster claiming that your mates window cleaners cousin knows a 15 year old that killed his grandparents by passing the virus on. Biggest bullshitter on here and most boring poster as well.
"Window cleaner" wtf are you on about? lol no that wasn't me but nice deflection bullshitter. It's 100% checkable fact that the things i accused you of saying you did in fact say. All of it and you have done nothing but try to diminish the seriousness of this virus all the while saying the scientific consensus is wrong.

So why are you even angry at me just for pointing out the stance that you have took from day one? You must stand by what you post? don't you? "window cleaner" wtf

Can't argue with you about the idiocy of keeping schools open. But the argument could be made that we NEED to educate our kids. You don't NEED to go to the gym, do you.
