Found out today, through newspaper archives, that a distant relation of mine was fined 40 shillings in 1909. He had been diagnosed with scarlet fever and ordered not to leave the house for a month, but went on a day trip to Blackpool!!
So "lockdown breaking" isn't new.

He should have gotten a delivery slot and stayed in and watched Netflix or Amazon, inconsiderate bugger.

I do wonder if some countries will make covid vaccination a condition of entering. I think a lot of the people refusing to have one now might find it limits on where they might be welcome in the future. This new found fad for distrusting vaccines might end up being parked when people realise they can't go to Spain or whatever anymore.

Didn't stop Brexit, did it?

I went for the flu shot a few weeks ag and the girl asked if I was allergic to eggs.
I said "why? Are we going out for breakfast after"? True story.

If you dont want to take the vaccine then fine, but just make sure you have your own health care insurance so you pay for your own covid care if you need it. As I certainly dont see why I as a tax payer should be paying for it.

They as a tax payer will also be paying for it as well. Some people will rightly have some reservations on a vaccine and will bide their time before deciding on whether to have it.

As per usual, I will moan at anyone deliberately breaking the rules, risking NG anyone they come into contact with.

I will have the vaccine once convinced in my own mind it is safe.

Reservations that a vaccine looks like it has been produced in such a short space of time. The handling of the whole pandemic by those in power not filling anyone with any confidence.

You only have to have a look at how this country has handled it all, offering contracts out left, right and centre to their chums in dealing with it from the start. It's enough to make people just sit back and think "i'll just hang on and see how it plays out" and you don't have to be wearing a tin foil hat or believe the earth is flat to have reservations.

Chemotherapy to treat cancer has been in existence since the 1940's, we're talking 80 years of progress and 80 years of success stories.

If someone does not wish to be vaccinated, we shouldn't create a kind of poppy fascism towards them, everyone has a choice. If that is deemed to be a mistake then they should be treated in line with all other illnesses as that is what we all contribute towards to look after everyone.

If you need chemo, you have sadly already caught cancer.

im just fed up with people being selfish. those who dont have the flu jab dont actually impact others that much. wernt you one of those that have been telling all and sundry that covid was much worse than flu. stopping the spread of covid is much more important as most of us know including you i think mosside.
