Craig Bellamy

For me Bellamy has what all fans want from their players - skill, passion and match winning ability but this often comes at a price. Bellamy admits he has an edge - and those who have more skill and match winning ability and bigger egos often dont respond well to the work ethic and rallying call for passion he puts out and this is probably one of the factors that caused Robinho to flip out.
I would love to see Bellers and Robby playing together again but its not going to happen. I think Mancini has to decide whether players like Bellers are affecting his plans with players at the higher level and so it will come down to his personal view (and what he is paid to do) on whether Bellers is right for City at this time.
I think if Bellamy were 5 years younger I think he would be a shoe in but whilst I think he should be retained for the passion he brings I don't think many of the teams selected on here over the last few weeks have included him in the starting line up.
The type of player he is, he will look around see the same and think he won't be in the starting XI and if true that he and Mancini don't get on that well anyway he will want to go.
But FFS not to f*ckin Spuds, please!

city have been really canny this transfer window, not handing one penny over to any premiership club, i am sure that they will not be stupid enough to upgrade our rivals with the sale of probably one of our top players, make no mistake if we want to win anything next season we need to keep bellars, i cannot beleive that some of the lads on here don,t rate him, the lad whooses class, also he has more guts and spirit than most of the favourits mentioned on here?

Bellamy although he seemed to flag at the end of the season had a good season with us and he is a proven premiership player. So to sell him to Spurs for £6 million would be ridiculous.

No doubt it will happen though because in the desire to sign "stars" City have to prune the squad. The same will probably happen with Ned, Ireland and Richards with us again strengthening our rivals whilst we have to go through the proccess of us trying to get new players to gel. Whilst we have to pay ridiculous amounts of money our rivals may get some of our players at half their value.

Teams that get somewhere just add one or two players to their squads not make wholesale changes.

Scoring goals wasn't a problem for us last season except in games which were tight and this showed that we need a creative mid fielder (something that has yet to be addressed). We also need a left back (something which has also yet to be addressed)

Bellamy is not perfect, not getting any younger and inlcind to not stay at a club for long however Redknapp is preatty good in the transfer market so why should we help him out. If Redknapp wants Bellany let him pay top money for Bellamy.

left back = Lescott
creative midfielder = David Silva

Agree bar the skill bit. Some weeks i think has Bellers ever played football before.I can see him going a few days before the window closes if David Silva plays anything like he can.

Hope we keep Bellers to be honest. We need to keep as much British grit in the team as we evolve.. Key player next season.

In my opinion, we need to keep Craig. I love the way he rattles cages, and we haven't signed anyone apart from him, that does. Great players yes, but cage rattlers, no. And isn't it always the case that sometimes, one of the lesser lights of a team manages to keep his place owing to his displays. I hope this is Bellers.
